Three years later, still want a 410+ toughness% curios for my veteran

I play off and on since release. I don’t have a favorite class really, I play the heck out of all them when I do play.

(Before you read, yes I understand that 410+ doesn’t really change anything, it’s just an annoyance of mine at this point.)

Veteran kitted out like a kasrkin with a hotshot lasgun has been one I’ve played since day one and have enjoyed the heck out of it however…

… WHY DOES HE NEVER HAVE ACCESS TO %TOUGHNESS CURIOS?!

Finally after 3 years I have two 400 %toughness curios. FINALLY.

I don’t understand why we can’t simply craft curios and empower them ourselves.

I don’t understand why we can’t have them account bound like in Vermintide 2.

I don’t understand why it constantly feels like FatShark hates the players and it takes years for them to either fix or get something right.

TWO.

All of my other classes are tralalain’ about and constantly get 430 % toughness curios.

Edit;

I want to add that it took forever to get V2 to a good, solid, playable state, but by then I was utterly bored with paddlin’ my way through seas of rats.

Hardly, given that there’s no hot shot lasgun in the game.

Probably the key word here is ‘like’.

I’m with you, gambling for curios sucks. Having two chances every hour in-game is deplorable. The worst part of the gearing system now imo.

Here’s hoping that when they fix it (iirc there was mention a while ago for whatever that’s worth) they take the chance to make curios more interesting overall. It would have been nice to Unlock & Unload them in the meantime though…

If it helps you though, there is a method of previewing currently offered shop goods in a web browser via 3rd party extension.

and i said it, it’s ridiculous that we still have to camp the shop 10 months after u&u dropped, because curios have been left out.
is it that hard to simply let us empower them to the max like we do with weapons.

It wouldn’t even be that much of an issue if they could get the damn rounding errors fixed to stop spreading their filthy heretical numbers, misleading folks. That was a bombshell when i learned that. Might be the first time a game lied to me in such a way.

the stamina curios @ 400 and maybe 410 giving only 2 stamina?
yeah it’s weird.

now look at the temp buff fix:
https://www.nexusmods.com/warhammer40kdarktide/mods/579
a modder fixed in a day what they broke (and the outlines are still broken btw).
curios could have been fixed that quick too if mods ran on the server.

LOL…

So 25 min ago the store cycled, and ofc the Arbiter had a 420 %toughness… and my poor vet gets a 370 health.

At this point it really just feels like it’s on purpose to infuriate me and make me uninstall.

ok i have more than enough curios… but i got a 430 wound curio for my arby, what about that

That’s bad luck, clearly your ogryn needs it more :stuck_out_tongue:

6 wound ogryn is the meta.

Martyrdumb FTW

Pro tip: Play Sedition and you get 7 wounds!

I will repeat that the hourly vendor perfect curio seems a lot better after a recentish update (I forget which), and even my Arby got what he needed jsut randomly checking it; Melk is still ~1%.

Sweet Emprah, I forgot about that!

I died a little every time I saw a 6 wound Martyrdumb (as you put it, HA!) ogryn in Damnation and above, same for actual marty zealot with only 1 extra wound.

P.S. On a weirdly related note, my Arby’s daily Melk shop, never seen anything like this, 5 curios (none perfect)!:

while it’s still crappy rng, took me 10 minutes and 80k melk bucks to get me the curios i wanted when i was making me a zealot and dusted off my vet.

poor guy still had gear from before unlocked and loaded :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

cause sitting on those currencies like a dragon on his hoard isn’t doing me any good either :man_shrugging:

I second this!

I have multiple 430 curios on all my characters thanks to the extension

Without it I’d be lucky to have one. It makes it easy to just have a tab open and check once per hour and only login when you see a curio you need

Since it got mentioned twice, but no one has said what it is, the browser extension is called Armoury Exchange. I also used this to get curios for a bunch of my characters.

Chrome: Armoury Exchange - Chrome Web Store

Firefox: Armoury Exchange – Get this Extension for 🦊 Firefox (en-GB)

Original announcement: Formally announcing the Armoury Exchange extension (view the store outside of the game)

Curios feel like a hangover from the old RNG crafting days. I used this extension a lot when I was looking for good weapon rolls. Now the only reason to use it is for the curios, which still suffer from that. We should just be able to buy gray curios like we buy gray weapons.

That’s some luck. I’m down ~200k milk money on my space cop without a 420/30 to show for it still.

Doesn’t work for me for some reason on Chrome.

In fact the whole atoma.cloud for darktide or whatever doesn’t work, it’s all white.

I’ve tried on 3 completely different computers.

Some reason that website for the darktide dashboard or whatever doesn’t work.

Used to work a few days ago, so I’m removing the extension since that doesn’t work either.

Either way fatshark’s responsible for crappy inventory.

It took me 18k to get 3 410+ curios on my arby.

I know I got very lucky

Hilarious. It seems to be broken today. Of course. Worked fine yesterday.

Yea, seems like fat shark was all like “oh we can’t have them finding an easier way to get a curios, we gotta shut dat down!!

Must be nice living a bubble universe where everything goes exactly how you want it to while crapping on your clients.
