So it would seem that your issue lies with cleaving weapons. Obviously you would want “front” damage on single target weapons. How does Enhanced not cover the cleaving niche? It covers it far better than mainstay ever did.
10% more cleave with enh P
damage modifiers for stagger 0,1,2 = 1.1, 1.32, 1.54 for ehp vs 1.0, 1.4, 1.6 for mainstay
1.2, 1.2, 1.4 for smiter
bash weapons get bulwark, which may need to be buffed up to like 15% or something after testing. Idk yet.
So what weapon type doesn’t have a talent that it works with?
One thing I noticed, attacks that don’t stagger wont provide THP on kills.
Could be a good or bad thing, it feels whack for certain weapons but only really affects elites and probably pushes said weapons to On Kill THP.
I think rewarding skill is a good thing. The values just need to be such that it actually requires skill rather than being a high enough damage bonus that it is better with accidental headshots. I say wait on persh’s math graph.
I didn’t know it was that way on official. Very odd how it works. You get max of like 4 thp from 2HH swing. So why 2 thp for single target?? Guess I need to do more research.
Conceptually the ideas and suggestions look solid but the numbers indeed seem like those will need some tweaking. I won’t go into specifics without trying it out myself first but wanted to say that i like the core ideas put forth here.
Again without the rebalance mod ^^
Personally, I had no issue generating THP with stagger + one handed sword but found 2hh generation kind of meh. Either they changed something or we’ve been sleeping on it.
what’s interesting is tuskgor spear feels much much better than 2hh with stagger despite sharing profiles so idk what’s going on there but I think it’s something funky about 2h hammer specifically
I did test this one extensively. It’s the push from the push attack.
What attack pattern? The push stab is really good for making thp. Just like any push Stab. And yes, I agree we may have been sleeping on stagger temp a bit.
Ah please do not, assassin is a pretty significant component for a lot of waystalker/shade melee in general and losing it would hurt pretty badly, even for the parts that arent problematic.
Dropping it entirely would be a major nerf that i do not think is quite deserved.*
It also hits WHC in the one department he doesnt deserve a hit in, scoring headshots with his heavies.
