This game has perfect endgame gear progression system when you are at work or watching TV series after! No need to play, just log in every hour! Genius! /s

So I work mostly from home, managing some company stuff. So obviously I can’t play normal games where gameplay is required to progress my character. Same when I want to spend my time after work watching some TV series. I have to chose: TV series or gameplay.

But not in Darktide. A new, genius progression system was introduced for working people with multiple hobbies!

You don’t even have to play the game! At work I just log in every hour, check RNG store to see if I my character progress with gear! Then after work I watch TV series if I want and after every episode I check RNG store and guess what: my character actually progress with gear!

Since playing mission doesn’t give any anything at this point (I have 400k gold, 3K diamentite and 6k plasteel), there is no crafting, I can’t experiment with any build since blessings are also freaking RNG, and no way to work on gear I ACTUALLY WANT TO GET (becasue it’s all RNG) then endgame reached new pick! There is no need to even play! Just log in every hour, check if you get weapon you want, check if it’s the variant you want and check if it’s god-roll on stats. If it is then once per couple days you can upgrade that and find out you got useless or crippling tblessings!

Great design Fatshark. Gear progression without playing game. Brilliant!

So to sum it up Fatshark: how could you release the game with such horrible no-baked, mobile-like gear progression? Or you just wanted to pad your stats for green circles of daily log-ins and active accounts to show on share holders meetings?

I like this post it is spot on (but not sure everybody understand what this really means). :+1:

It really is like a mobile game reward system

Why are they encouraging players to wait for hours at a time? I don’t get it.

Even V2’s gear system is better. It rewarded players IMMEDIATELY upon finishing a mission. And guess what?

If the gear you got wasn’t good or what you were looking for, you could immediately scrap it and play another mission to repeat the process.

Rewards SHOULD NOT be locked behind an arbitrary timer outside of gameplay
