There are team championships too. Either way, you completely missed the point and speaking of stupid, that’s your initial post. Nobody owes you or anyone a carry and people who want to play on difficulties they don’t belong should look for the premade, not the other way around. In more serious games people who got their accounts boosted or buy accounts to play in high skill leagues are getting perma banned because they ruin experience for others.
All the people i play DT with are people i’ve meet in DT.
With that in mind and that being my experience, how could i possibly accept that no solution is provided? Because on my end the solution was there and is clearly working for me!
See the issue here?
The problem is that you guys have a problem and the current available solutions ain’t palatable or adequate for you!
Ok? Why are you projecting that if something fits for you then it’s a universal truth? Because noone is trying to take anything from you.
Threads with people complaining about leavers, no proper difficulty filtering, etc. appears with some consistency. So that indicates there is a problem.
Sure. I have friends i met in V2. I have DT mates. But there are such things like timezones, life circumstances, etc. why it’s not always possible to play with premades only.
On top of that, if you don’t play with randoms, how are you even will find mates and friends.
Premades is the perfect solution, but it shouldn’t be the only one that will gurantee a decent expirience.
Ah yes, I have to find 3 people who will surely be available at the time I need just to play a couple of games without ruiners in the team. Or there should be better filters to weed out the garbage players that would always work. Hmm, I wonder which is the most convinient. Too bad you would fall into the latter category and won’t be able to play with the most randoms
this isn’t limited to Havoc. The exact same situation is happening even in Auric and below. I would say that less than 20% of players are actually playing at an appropriate skill level. Unless the current meta, which completely invalidates player skill, is fixed, this problem will continue indefinitely. And if things stay this way, players like me who are fed up with the meta will leave, and players who are simply bored of using the same builds and weapons over and over will also drift away. In the end, the decline of the entire game will be unavoidable.
Yes, that tag should reflect our current Havoc level, NOT a game we happened to finish.
There is plenty of pretty delusional people who try to join Havoc 40 games in my experience. We often have requests to join from people in the 1 to 20 bracket, some still in Purple and below gear. I had some joker joining without one curio.
Even if this means we might struggle to climb the ladder, that’s fine. I just want the metric to actually mean something when you play with randoms.
I literally can’t change weapons in combat and frequently my blitz won’t activate at all if I don’t use “guaranteed X activation” mods. I have no idea what the forck is going on behind the curtain with this game and input/latency, but it’s obscene and I’ve never experienced anything else like it in any other game.
Besides that I agree with the rest of what you say.
I also have to confess I have good and bad games, and some times you just end up with a bunch of players you have zero synergy with. My best games is with people who just seem to “get” each other and what we are trying to do.
I often play with a lot of assumed faith in my team mates, and I deliberately ignore enemy X in situation Y because I expect the class/player next to me to know that he’s better suited for that and I should focus on enemies Z and that way we keep each other alive. It’s just when you run into someone who doesn’t get this system it collapses entirely and I get hit my back something that just seemed completely natural to me to assume that the other guy knew was his job to deal with.
I’ve played with a lot of great veteran players out there so don’t take this the wrong way, but frequently it’s a vet that doesn’t know what he’s good at so he’s standing in horde cleaving it down while I’m already flaming it and we’re being bombed with tox gas, molotovs, and snipers and gunners are piling up all over the map. Eventually we get pushed into an alley by ever-closing usable fighting space as fire and gas fills the map and we get cleaved down by maulers and crushers, so I complain why isn’t anyone killing bombers/snipers/gunners and I get asked “you didn’t get killed by a bomber?” and then the smoothbrain blocks me and leaves.
If I wanted to play this everyone for himself solo-competition bullsheet I’d be spamming the forum requesting for solo mode play, which I never have for reasons that should be obvious.
Improve the core expirience. Balance, difficulty curve, incentives, UI. That’s it. Players doing extra work be it alt-tabbing to read wiki about what rend is, or go to Discord and find teammates is always last resort thing.
Those mistakes were learned already with other games, like GTFO not having matchmaking on release cause “our game is hardcore use discord”. Or Back4Blood top difficulty is locked out from matchmaking.
If your game allows to play “end game” content with randoms, then you are obligated to do as much as you can to improve player expirience. Either way it’s the same philosophy as with not having numeric ui and expecting players will fix it with mods. Pure Bethesda approach.
They should add an account level and make it visible, like in DRG. While it’s not a 100% gurantee it’s still provides more valuable info than a character level.
Good and now step back for a second and ask youself…
If a part of the community doesn’t have the same problems as i do or found a way to deal with the problems just fine on their own, will they be happy with the game being balanced and changed around the problems they dont have or already successfully dealt with?
Now ill say it straight, should we change the game even an iota because people have troubles finishing the very endgame with random strangers?
No, except for an UI that will make it easier to spot a blatant leech, but past that ABSOLUTELY NOT!
The solution to the Havoc 40 issue with teammates actually exists and it is employed by many with great success. Those that do not employ it are merely collecting the wages of their failure!
Its a team based coop game, people should act accordingly and adjust or forfeit the Havoc 40 win as something that’s past their (social) skills.
Obtaining and retaining the company of competent teammates in a teambased coop game is a skill in its own right and those that don’t have it should better work at getting it, instead of trying to change the game to suit their lacking skill!
Not just in Havoc , but in Auric as well, because that’s the point where the sheer power of the classes are not enough anymore to prevail on their own and lower difficulties are a joke.
Since it will not affect your ability to play with premades, what are you even arguing against?
Again, noone is trying to take anything from you, what are you defending here?
What do you even mean “by balanced arround”? Like fixing powercreep? Powercreep is unhealthy for the game on many levels. If it’s that then just say “i want crutches” instead “play with premades”.
People don’t struggle finishing with randoms. This topic isn’t about slightly unexpirienced players in your runs.
They don’t want to interract often with arrogant individuals who don’t even possess a basic mechanical skills and knowledge or sometimes ignore basic geering and just ragequit.
It’s a common sense that END GAME is supposed to be played by people who are ready for the END GAME.
Since you like that terminalogy so much, you don’t go into high level raid with randoms without understanding what’s tank, damage dealer and healer are supposed to do.
It’s not about social skills. Stop pretending OP or anyone said “i don’t want to talk with people”. People already said that there are timezones and real life obligations it’s not always possible to play with premades only. Neither it should be so since the game allows you to jump in H40 with randoms.
Is there anything new you can say, aside from parroting “play with premades, it’s fine for meeee meee meee”. If it’s fine for you then move on, noone is trying to take away from you the option to play with friends.
This will not affect my gameplay? Also nice strawman narrowing it down to premades, very good
Balance, difficulty curve
I said it already and ill say it again, its very hard to discuss with people when the said people can’t even remember what they said in their previous post!
The part where i told you that people wont be happy to have their game changed over problems they don’t have just went past you despite you quoting it, didn’t it?
How does one even talk with someone like you?
Dude how about we curb the arrogance a little? I have 2k hours in this game, don’t i have my say on what powercreep is just like you do? Or is your take the only take allowed?
What you think a powercreep might be just fine for other people, ever occurred to you?
Not at all, you just want to change the balance, difficulty etc, but noone is trying to take away anything, as long as you have your strawman about being still able to premade, right?
Its impossible to talk with people like you, you are unfit to participate in a debate sorry
I’m gonna step on toes with this one, but I can’t help but notice that all the people who complained about how trash Weaves in VT2 were also didn’t continue to play weaves.
Havoc however… for some reason people seem so compelled to stick around anyways. Just stop playing it. Play aurics instead. Duo auric maelstroms. Do something fun with your time instead of sticking to the garbage balance gamemode just because it’s the hardest. Gives Fatshark good feedback on Havoc balance too, if you do, because we all know they don’t read this, they look at stats instead.
