The aquila thing was a SALES PROMOTION. You aren’t entitled to a product’s entire lifetime of SALES PROMOTIONS…If there’s a buy one get one free promotion for an item you bought a year earlier, you don’t go back to the store screaming about how you’re “owed one for sticking the product for a year”…

I think the hood will be for the Veteran. My guess is that whoever set up the image was going for the trusted ‘rule of cool’ and decided the plasma gun looked cool with that outfit in that pose, rather than literally applying the class weapons correctly. Or I’m completely wrong and for some reason the Zealot gets a sharpshooter type hood, which fits with the other hoods they have, I suppose.
I will cautiously say I kind of like this because more cosmetics are always nice. On the other hand, parity in Aquilas for PC players who owned the game up to Patch 13 release would have been way more acceptable to me. I’m aware there are those who think “they owe us nothing”, that is not strictly true. I have put in, up to writing this, 666 (heresy!) hours:

There have been times where I’ve moved on from the game for a while because I need variety in my life, but when I come back I love to play it as much as possible. I’m at that point at the moment whilst I await the next patch. Point is I kept playing despite the poor cash shop practices, especially with the nature of the shop itself and how it functions. The poor attempt at FOMO with a rotation, that there was no Aquila bundle that matched the cost of an outfit bundle at launch, which was hilariously explained as a mistake; that cash shop was one of the only feature complete parts of the Mourning Star at launch, there was no way that was a mistake. I kept playing despite the RNG of crafting and how poorly it has been implemented. I kept going despite playing the same maps again and again and again. I carried on despite no advancement in the plot of a ‘live service’ game. What were the servers down to on concurrent players? I cannot recall but it was low and the game hit ‘Negative’ review status on Steam. Even now it is on mixed.
They could have given us 6-7k Aquilas instead of this pack and I would have been happier with that as I get the choice of what I like the look of rather than having this pack thrust upon me. I also don’t like, as has been said earlier in this thread, that this is an additional division between PC and Xbox, as we get a pack that they don’t. Give everyone the pack, give PC players a decent sum of Aquilas, and let us move on to a brighter future for Darktide. But this is what they have decided so … yeah.

Nice sales promotion! The greed never surprises me but always disappoints. Platform (Xbox game pass players can get this easily) exclusive content is foolish. Only creates more hostility between PC and console. I realize you don’t want to give away premium currency to a group who you want to siphon more money from, but all you’ve done has killed any of my desire to give FS more money. I have been wanting to buy some cosmetics to help support the game, but the continuous greedy business practice will probably never have me spend more money on Fatshark.
