I second this, would love for more modular customization. Unfortunately I don’t see it happening with the way the game is currently, it would take some major reworking with a system designed to make money, implementing this would be counter productive to profits.
Arguably they could make a new system that would still provide income but why would they when the current one is working as it should. Most games made these days have a focus on ringing out as much money from the fanbase as they can.

At the end of the day, the majority of effort is in profits rather than solidified gameplay, design, story, and stability.
Kind of still regret i prepurchase the special edition only to get so little credits that barely buy me a top from premium store,
the fact premium store cycles randomly instet of having everything available all times for purchase makes it look like its using the "fear of missing out " tactic of premium stuff ’
the fact that ogrins still dont have the black armor that is teased in the character creation is baffeling to me since the launch days.there are barely any cosmetics u can buy with the normal gold credits in the store and im not even going to point out the reskin colors of weapons and cosmetics

I pre-ordered the game so i’m pretty sure i at the very least launched it after it properly released, but I refunded it because wasn’t happy with some of the issues it had at launch. If I buy the game again now, will I still get these cosmetics?

Fatshark would have to tell you for sure, but if you think thru the wording of the announcement and the likely functional implementation of the Vanguard bundle it prooooobably looks like this: a dev writes a script to gather every Steam/WinPC account with their creation/first sign in date before Nov 17th, 2023, and those accounts get the bundle added to their inventory.
Do they track if an account has been deactivated by refunding the game? Impossible to say, but because you could repurchase the game and most likely (I’m guessing, I have not confirmed this) access your old characters, you may get it.
If you’re on Steam, with the 14-day 2-hours-of-play refund terms, I think your safest bet would be to repurchase now and just not login until the set drops.
I can’t find a way to check I definitely played some after buying it as steam doesn’t show playtime for it, but I do remember connecting my twitch account and getting the drops from that, so I probably did at least check those. This just says “played before November 17th” and i’d have a fatshark account that shows having logged in before that date, so hopefully i’d still get it.
Fatshark giving us no choice for what cosmetic we want to get and this bundle looks like penance skins and for all I know it could have been but used it to calm the players instead. And if I’m not getting this wrong, you can only get this bundle if you have played Darktide before November 17th. And for someone like me who does not frequent their forums at all(or discord if ever they have mentioned it there), I never would have known. Why didn’t they post this on steam or youtube and why does there have to be requirement to play it before the specified date? Are they trying to not have as much players get this bundle as much as they can?
They didn’t post this everywhere because I imagine they (rightly) decided that it would be viewed as no more than a cynical promotion instead of a solemn sorry-thanks for the PC man-things.
I didn’t ask to have posted everywhere and alright, youtube is not the right place for this announcement but at least on the darktide steam activity or their darktide discord server where maybe most of their players who owns the game will get to see it.

I think the way it’s going to work is if you’ve logged in at ANY time before 11/17/23 on PC, you’ll be getting the bundle.
In place of receiving this bundle can I have the option to disable cross play with Xbox players? Or maybe block them from pairing with PC players on damnation? I don’t think I’ve run into a single Xboxer at any level that understands the core mechanics of the game, particularly as it pertains to playing as a team. I want to see DT with a healthy player base, but at this point I’d rather play with bots.
Not to mention the names you get pop up that are clearly there to upset people, racist edgelord stuff, explicit cuss words, all sorts of garbage Xbox sportsball fan knuckledragging tripe.
They either need to increase the capacity of the block list, or allow for the disabling of cross play…
So let me guess, console players will get this bundle for free a couple months down the line, but their bundle will have thousands of Aquilas in it. Yall have a bias against PC players I swear
the crossplay is to keep the box community feeling populated, not to be healthy for the PC player side.

Backpack. THE BACKPACK! Is… very, VERY… ok. What is awesome is LACK OF CLIPPING with other cosmetics! (Am I weird for being happy about it?)
Looking at Vox-set on Vet just hurts my eyes, but I’ve got used to it.
As for other stuff - It’s A+. Both frames and insignia looks awesome.
I like most of the pieces, but I think it’s because having a new color palette is like a breath of fresh air.
We really need a way to get more (non premium) recolors fatshark 
or a dye system. Please I’m begging you.
