So I’m left wondering what this even is? Its confusing because theres people playing on PC who picked it up on sale recently, never bought the Imperial Edition, and they are getting some free Vanguard cosmetics. “Nice!” they say to themselves.
But I’m sat here thinking, this wasn’t even what I was complaining about, I wanted the same offer as was given to XBOX Imperial Edition.
Still dont even have the skins from the splash screen, promotional trailers and even the forums…
Finally we get something close to it and they still botch alot of the detail. Plus I wanna bet they are gonna recolor this skin with better color and sell it for 10 dollars, which xbox players can easily get with their free aquilas…
This bundle is just a muzzle for the community… and not even a great one…
lol why are ppl mad at this?
“we payed the equalitent of half a tank of diesel, and now we want free stuff for infinity and this free stuff is not god enough moreeee freeee stufffff”
Idk how the whiners run their failing companies but FS ain’t gonna suport updates new maps new characters more stuff servers and so on if there is no cashflow.
Looks great and this was a good treat for early players, more fashontide pls
For me, what seems unreasonable is just how different the release for each were and just how hard they’re trying to bribe customers for xbox.
PC release: Broken, missing features, buggy, hostile design.
Xbox release: “Feature complete”, less buggy, slightly less hostile design, massive currency pack worth more than the RRP of the game included as part of the RRP.
Just the difference in how the two audiences are treated.
Even if we assume that these skins are worth 2900 aquilas, which they arent, these are still just one fixed set of cosmetics that you may or may not like thus making this reward utterly worthless for a lot of people. They should give us the aquilas like most people wanted instead or on top of this.
If MS played a part in the launch bundle, then I think you’d be fooling yourself to expect parity in getting 9300/14000 Aquilas
I don’t think we’ll ever see it confirmed it denied, but
people buying the game are going to be more invested than people who effectively “rent” the game via GamePass
more invested players are more likely to purchase MTX
both game sales and MTX sales are of benefit to Fatshark and Microsoft
So I’d be surprised if MS didn’t subsidise this (in part, at least), and it’s not going to benefit them to subsidise for Steam. As for the WinPC player base pre patch #13…
The sets look nice enough, I guess. However, I’m not at all sure I’m sold on the Zealot/Sniper outfit. I feel like that and the Veteran outfits should be swapped. Speaking of, given how similarish the sets are, do we know if they’re actually locked to their class, in full (minus the Ogryn of course)? I can see aspects of each outfit that I might want to use to put together a more Zealot-y uniform…but if all we’ll have is the sniper robes…it is gonna be interesting trying to figure out what I’m gonna make there.
No, I don’t. It’s a simple assumption on my part. But it is the most likely scenario, simply going by experience in Gaming and Business. Microsoft was always prolific in exclusive deals, just like Sony and Nintendo. And this has the smell of it.
I don’t see why Fatshark would otherwise give Xbox that much more Aquilas for no reason. It’s not in their interest to give such a huge payout, unless they were ‘nicely encouraged to’ by Microsoft when discussion a possible Xbox release.
