I’ve handled this minigame pretty well actually lol
Honestly just takes getting used to it

The minigame on this mission is by far my least favorite aspect of it.
It takes too long, in a timed mission this is a killer.
It’s awkward and feels overly tuned to a gamepad controller, making it really funky on a mouse-keyboard setup. This minigame is just really not intuitive and is painfully clunky.
Because it takes so long and is so awkward, most people don’t want to actually do it, meaning precious seconds get wasted where nobody steps up to do it.
Yeah, I do it max once then I say in the chat I’ve done my part
I’m here to destroy heretics and kill monsters, not to play mini-games! If you’re into mini-games, there are countless on your smartphone that will keep you entertained for an entire year.
It’s almost as bad as the Hab Dreyko tree minigame, but not by much, just in different ways.
I could do Hab Dreyko if only I had a smidgeon of cover to stand behind, like if the servitor was facing the door. Instead that’s where my team is often hiding instead of protecting.
The hab dryko minigame is HORRIBLE to use with a keyboard.
The new minigame is much better but definitely still too long.
Dude I have no connection to the dev team.
huh ? been doin it “quicker” than normal auspex scans, if i´m not chewed on by a horde my mates are unable to keep off me.
a,s,d and forward (mouse 2)
Day late… but I have this keyboard: the wooting One, and it’s big brother the wooting Two… this video doesn’t go into depth about how the keyboard works, but it’s basically rigged to function like/emulate a gamepad-- so yes, it could work, but it’s largely irrelevant as to whether it does or doesn’t as tapping the keys remains far more efficient.
I honestly don’t bother using any of the analog settings on it (I should). It’s neat that they’re there, but the amount of time invested to achieve what the keyboard is capable of is not something that interests me at all.
But it’s horrible with keys because often I’m pressing the key that feels most logical to get to the blip I want and it doesn’t work.
Because the blips are all off at weird diagonals from one another and keys have no diagonal input. It just feels horrible.
The new minigame, once got the hang of it, feels a billion times easier to manipulate BUT it just lasts too damn long which is an obvious fix for FS. the control input feels much nicer than the hab dryko one.
hmmm… start with the most “forward” to find the one on “top” and from that work left and right.
weird to explain it in text form, doing it myself i just move from top to side then bottom.
so forward, left, right ---->down, left right etc.
Sure, I have a system for the approach but it’s the actual selecting the dots with the keyboard that I find troublesome. Takes lots of button bashing. Feels very clunky. If it was a grid that we could freely move about on and the dots were just grid coordinates then that would make it more intuitive imo.
