You don’t have to make it go in a circle, you just have to keep it away from the edges. Here’s me doing it on keyboard: https://youtu.be/6riEyXXq4PM?t=103
Has anyone else noticed that this mini-game seems like it was designed more for controllers than keyboards? Constantly tapping the keys to keep the ball centered feels pretty tedious and not very enjoyable.
I actually quite like it after trying it a few times BUT it takes waaaaaaay too long to complete. It should be at least half the time it takes now but maybe with a 1 second pause penalty for hitting the side…so you can do it really quick if you perform it flawlessly.
Doing it flawlessly currently still takes the longest I’ve ever had to stay at an auspex…and on a timer level no less!
As far as I can tell it’s just a constant of touching/not touching.
If that constant was much faster but the penalty for touching the sides was greater then I think it would improve the game a lot.
Edit: Alternatively it could speed up over time then touching the side would reset to the slowest speed again. Wither would work as long as not touching the sides made for a quick execution.
Agree with this. It should gradually increase in completion speed as you make no mistakes, and keeping it near the dead center (white visual) should make it complete significantly faster. As it is right now it’s not only extremely slow but incredibly unchallenging and uninteresting which is bad for a minigame you need to ding several times in a short period.
Simply speeding up the longer it avoids the walls would be nice and simple. Then if you touch a wall the speed resets to slowest and starts speeding up again.
