Get rid of the new phage tree mini game!

That mini game with the white/red dots?

Bring back the original mini game!

This has got to be one of the clunkiest, sloppiest, input delay ridden additions to this game. Crap that wastes more of your time for the sake of wasting more time and it’s clearly geared towards controllers instead of a mouse and keyboard.

Every time i do that mission, people keep struggling with it and i always end up having to do it.

I absolutely abhor it!

Uh yeah that’s the point of those mini games. Trivial task to do under pressure that takes time so your team must protect you.

Excellent argument in favor of it. That’s skill expression, however minor.

The alternative to this design is making it just a progress bar. That’s what the train version is, basically. Far worse imo

First time I tried it, I did not understand what I was supposed to do.

Then I never tried it again. Now I let the others do it. And when nobody wants to do it, we eventually die.

then learn it on the fly, my guy.

I never had to do it, I’ve never even seen it.
Everytime it comes up, which hasn’t been very often, someone does it in record time.
I assume they use some mod to cheese it.
I wonder why it’s so hard to create puzzles that are both more obvious and take a bit more thought, though.
After all, the complaint is less about it wasting time, which it’s supposed to do, but how it does it.

I wish I could learn it in the Psykarium.

Tbh, I prefer the train mini game.
It is a little too long in this mission, but this one does not need a mod and can’t really be speeded by a mod.

So something like 3 times the train mini game would be good for me.

And the other mini game (not the tree mini game) they should put as a feature the mod that show you what symbols you’ll need to press.

Navigate between the circles with wasd, if it turns red - you don’t press lmb, if a circle turns white then you press lmb.

this,
take the end from hab dreyko and you have a very uneventful map.

design wise i love it, but 3x skull scan isn´t very demanding in terms of team effort.

usually i´m done with all 3 before the others even bother picking their auspex.

now the ending i personally like very much for i have to decide whether to snack on some tasty 12 pack of whatever jumps down the drain and control the action or on the other hand be the one doing the final auspex as fast as i can which is pressure just the same, hence fun for me.

usually it goes pretty smooth with m&k flicking through the options that are basically a 4 part bernoulli chain, so very quick to do.

Thanks. So always navigate between the circles and never touch them?

Video is 2 mins long.

If you get interrupted by an enemy or w/e the white dots will be in the same places when you restart the auspex so you can recover quickly (if you can remember where they were).

Thank you!

Some of you need to work on your reading comprehension skills. I can tell you that much.

The original mini game worked just fine for every other annoying mini game section of the game and that’s been the case for most of this game’s life cycle. It’s still annoying, however, it doesn’t handle like slow, clunky, unresponsive crap like the newer mini games because it’s clearly developed for PC controls. You know? The original platform that kept this company afloat.

Speaking of the awful train mission that shouldn’t be anywhere near Quickplay.
Put that garbage level in Special Assignments!

That latest mini game featured on that low effort level design is an even better example of the game’s consolitis symptoms. That’s clearly meant for analog sticks and sure as f not for mouse and keyboard controls.

As if crossplay with the headless chickens wasn’t enough.
Crap that i should be able to disable, anyway.

Nah! They need actually infuse even more of the consolitis right into the core of the game.
