You think all stores and all companies shut down completely over xmas in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland? Or shut down completely for 4 weeks in summer? These are the countries with some of the best labor laws in the world.
You have no idea what you’re talking about. Having great labor laws does not, in fact, mean enforced vacation at the same time for everyone (unless it is a shite company that cannot manage staggered vacation, or a company which has no ongoing operations or customer-facing and can thus shut down).
Yes, you have to hit bells scattered about the level a specific number of times for each bell, and then it goes a bit bonkers in the boss fight but also unlocks boss teleports for you.
No I don’t, but I don’t think it’s a big deal if a damn game company does so and frankly I think it’s extremely telling of a highly distorted moral compass if you take THIS much issue with it. Dear god dude it’s just entertainment in a world flooded with entertainment chill out about their damn holidays.
The amount of ridiculous whinging over a product most of you have spent like 5c per hour of playtime on is astronomically absurd at this point.
It is a big thing when they do it right after knowingly releasing a completely unfinished, broken mess of game. Which is what they did. Knowingly, on purpose.
As for this year, I couldn’t care less about GaaS or live service bullcrap, but I’m sure some people do, this game was supposed to be one, apparently, though it’s hard to keep track of all the stuff Fatshark says about their games before release which has no basis in reality.
I’m sure people currently unable to play the game, or experienced out of memory crashes every 2nd mission might care about it, too.
In any case, simply shutting down the studio for 3 weeks shows an astounding lack of management and planning skills, something mirrored in every single aspect of Darktide.
In the words of the mightiest man, Kronk! “There’s a wall there… trust me!” I am really curious as to who is testing out your games before you release them. Or do you just sketch in the dark? This game had potential, but every-time you guys fix something, 2 or 3 other things break. All you had to do was follow the formula you had for Vermin-tide 2, sprinkle a little space dust into the mix and you have the 40k universe in a digestible format. When will developers stop to think for a second and ponder the wisdom of developers 10 plus years ago, who released flawless or close to flawless games upon release. No Updates, no nerfs or buffs, it was a complete game when they came out. (The OG Halo Trilogy for example.) All the updates you would receive were dlc.
P.S. How do I run out of plasteel faster than Diamantine? Shouldn’t it be the other way around? Considering Diamantine is more rare? I seem to find more of it than plasteel.
P.P.S. Mission rewards and and Brunt’s Armory is a joke. I play a lot of damnation and heresy and only get lousy rewards. Blue 300 BR weapons shouldn’t even be a thing for rewards on Malice, let alone higher difficulties. Instead we have to play two or more missions just to gain enough dockets to build one weapon that is just semi descent to play with.
They’re doing things I don’t think they’ve done before; in this case, uploading a map with progress-blockers (walls and a crash) so that it can be activated at a later date on the server-side without a patch.
It seems to have worked great, except for the first 2 hours when all the servers were not yet setup to remove the progress-blockers. Live and learn! Hopefully for the next one they’ll do a slightly better job syncing up all the server-side changes.
I just posted an appeal to Fatshark to keep this Orthus Offensive mission in the game via a new tab in the Mission Terminal, let us pray to the Emperor for it!
To anyone who wants this new mission and others like it in the future to remain in the game, please lend your support under the “An Appeal to Fatshark” thread in the Gameplay Feedback section!
Trying to play this with Randomns has been absolutely horrible. People do not know how to deal with poxwalker hordes and it shows. Must have had 12 + attempts and every time at least 1 teamate has gone down to every rager or crusher and just snowballed a wipe from there.
I wish I could stop trying and just go back to playing regular games.
You see I actually have fun playing DT IF IT WORKS. I really like the gameplay, art and music. Everything you can do in the mourningstar is trash imo.
I had a friend of mine say the mission worked fine for him so I kept trying to get mine to work as well. Was it worth it? Most definitely not. The mission is empty, the boss fight is boring. I wanted to see it nonetheless
