They need to reduce the charge time by like 30%-50%. That blitz should be used a quick burst of damage, not as a primary weapon for the whole mission.

I disagree, psykers are immensely powerful in the lore. People are going to want a taste of that power when they play psyker. If they can’t use their powers as a primary weapon then they might as well play Veteran.

Well if we make every Psyker as powerful as the Big E, every heretic would be dead before being able to spawn. (This is the man who was able to force an entire Astartes legion and Primarch to bend the knee)

In T5 Auric Assail is just alright and the damage cut for the primary attack will significantly lower the breakpoints achieved with it.

No I agree. Even with the dmg nerf. It isn’t enough. It’s suppose to be a tool, not something you can practically spam 24/7 the whole match.
As a pysker main I hate it. And I cannot even use it anyway. People will leave the matchmaker if I slot assail because they know how broken it is.
Play Auric Maelstrom, you’ll quickly realize that it won’t carry you.
Truth. I routinely quit games that have assail psykers in them. If the average assail user had even the slightest bit of self control and stopped spamming every now and then it’d be a different story, but they don’t.
Eh, the only maelstrom mod that’s more difficult than HiSTG is Monstrous Specials, in which case no, assail won’t carry you. Other auric/maelstrom mods are basically just regular auric missions, difficulty wise.
I think with the buffs to heavier target health, it’ll stop them from constantly killing a group of them with low effort, but with their lower density, it will be the same on lower difficulties.

Assail is a big problem in non high intensity missions.
In Auric, assail is no more a problem.
But I have also left a mission cause of an assail player that forbid me to play…
i bet its under 10% regular playing AUric and i bet a LOT more are playing heresey than it. every time a game like this releases stats about whats actually being played its always only a tiny percent of people play on the top level. what was the stat on vermintide2? 4 years after launch 8% was on cata?
and it just makes no sense leaving something broken because its less egregious on the top difficulty. hows it going to interact with changes later? its going to be a mess! and how long do you think the game will last when over half the playerbase dont bother playing because the game ruimed at thier level
Not an argument. The hardest possible content for people with hyperoptimal builds + several K hours in the game IS NOT the benchmark.
I don’t have several thousands of hours and play Auric and do just fine.
Sure I get curb-stomped at times, but not always.
The point is, that once you find a difficulty becomes too easy, you should play on the harder difficulties.
But we should not balance the game around malice either. Anything under auric maelstrom, the easy modes, will always be easy and most of the stuff will be OP. We should not make tools unusable for the hard difficulty so it is not OP on a joke difficulty.
Precisely right. If we balance weapons around malice, or even heresy because the casuals there think the weapons are “too strong” then there’s a serious risk that those weapons will become near useless or niche on damnation and Auric, which is really bad for the overall health of the game because it would create a rigid meta where playing off-meta would get you kicked.
I think they need a little dmg buff for break point
and agree to charge time nerf
or maybe change mechanism to spend all charge at once, like shotgun
