Yeah, you lost any ground to stand on with this. Kills don’t matter.
The flamethrower does (probably) the weakest amount of ranged damage and has (probably) the shortest range for any gun. It’s not OP. I’m sorry you had a bad experience with a player using it, but I don’t think it’s a good reason to change anything about it. It’s in no way ruining the game.
