It was like this too when we went from Vermintide 1 to Vermintide 2 where they completely forgot Shrine was a thing and instead forced lootboxes to get reds upon us.
Congrats @brosgw . Thread now has top spot for most replies in all threads.
Decided going to pickup 20 bucks steam key for Payday 3 and leave DT until/if loads more unique maps added few months or year. Kind of liked the gameplay after Payday weekend beta.
Had good many hours out of DT for 15 bucks steam key.
May this memorial be forever remain even if the 7th day be reached
If they ever archive the thread, we raise a stink
Crafting Memorial Stands, just like Cadia.
The game will break before this community will.

hey look more changes coming to things that you canât change if you changed them before :^) like depending on how large powderburnâs boost is, it could make your blaze away machine pistol irrelevant. maybe this is why they donât care about the plasteel bug atm, lol.
Good luck all the people who are so happy to defend locks, hope your stuff gets particularly bricked!
Yeah this is the awful part with locks. Finally got that 380 item with stats distributed in a decent way, with T4 perks and blessings youâre happy with? Well, let me show you this patch that nerfs these blessings, perks, and/or weapon altogether! Itâs ok, I only spent 300 hours worth of resources at brunts to get it.
my god the activity in the forum basically seized oof
Yep. Itâs dead here. Fewer and fewer people have faith the game will turn around.
The thing is, the fix for crafting would be so trivial to do that itâs hard to imagine that it wonât be done. Therefore itâs easy to have faith that it will.
But thatâs why I think we all have such little faith.
Fatshark knows and understands what the easiest path forward is, but their leadership has historically proven themselves as being profesionally and psychologically incapable of taking it.
They wonât remove the locks. Whichever stick in the mud there insists on them is likely under pressure to agree to their removal and simply wonât. As a result, Fatshark will do literally everything - arrange the locks slightly differently, implement a skin system which doesnât make any sense, cheapen the entire itemization experience, improve every other part of this game - rather than just do the thing that they know will take no time to implememt and draw players back in.
Theyâll do literally everything else, because thatâll be the negotiating point. âFine, keep the locks. But let us do this other thing instead.â Likely because whatever other half of the itemization system theyâre pretending isnât missing relies upon the locks existing at lower levels, and theyâre ham-fistedly devoted to keeping it.
And even the locks ⌠imagine that most blessings and perks would be good.
Imagine Brunts armory would have baseline 340 weapons.
Imagine that the new class system would be decent and fun to play
People would swallow the locks because you have OPTIONS to craft the weapons and its not about BM, Slaughterer, Power Cycler, Shred etc
We have currently September 2023 and the crafting issue, which was identified as major problem by the community from the closed beta onwards is going to celebrate its first birthday in around two months. Locks were basically gasoline poured into fire.
There were of course multiple reasons behind the player numbers experiencing a dive bomb, but the progression/crafting system was one of the big factors IMO.
My issue is, that the fix would be so VERY trivial, that it is hard to believe, it has not yet been done. They could have fixed it probably within a month.
But because they have not fixed it, the hopes and dreams of some of us have been crushed, every single week.
Although I will say the bug in crafting resources being given back upon character swap has revitalized some interest in me mainly to farm for blessings from brunts.
Yes, I guess it goes both ways.
So it will be a pleasant surprise for you when they remove them.
I can think of only one reason why the crafting locks were kept in place. The very idea is that players would reach end game desired weapons and be bored of no longer having progression goals. Thatâs why many games introduce per quarter/seasons of ânewâ things, so then it is a constant process.
But can only hope they further change crafting again.
The only solace is to match what youâve paid for the game vs the hours.
but then you have to consider how many of those hours were actually enjoying the game vs. being aggravated with the crafting system and trying to figure out the unclear blessing actions, interactions, and glitches in the psyk.
I assume the entire crafting system is a slapped together rush job that is gonna be superseded or replaced at some point. Itâs just too bad for me to believe its what fatshark really want
100%. Plus it does things that their original crafting blog says they wonât do, or regresses hard in areas they said they learned from.
Just like the class system they 100% were working on something else but had to slap what we got together due to little time. They even admitted in the PC gaming article that they couldnât finish the class tree on time which is why they shelved it. I completely believe the same thing happened with crafting.
