Holy sh*t, they finally did something… and it’s utterly worthless because it’s barely enough to buy most trinkets.
Like the other guy said. Too little, too late.

Darktide’s light wood laminate moment
They’ve increased the frequency of events this year (so far). At the current rate you could have 3000-3500 aquilas in a year. Which isn’t the worst I’ve seen in games as a service, obviously, but it could be better.
However, one thing to remember here that is beneficial, you don’t have to play nonstop to get these rewards. Theoretically I could earn 26 USD worth of currency per year in Hunt Showdown, which is slightly more than the 16-20-ish USD projected aquilas. But there, I would have to play every week.
You could also farm super credits to your hearts content in HD2, but realistically, I don’t play the game that religiously nor do I focus on opening every single minor POI.
6-7 forecasted Darktide events per year by comparison is much less fatiguing for me personally.
if they keep doing consistently in future events i think will be nice
If it’s consistent going forward (event every 2 weeks, 500 aquila per event) I will be playing a LOT of Darktide tbh. I’d still be mad at the FOMO store but less than I am now because it’d be the same basic situation as Helldivers 2 at launch (FOMO catalog, but currency is earnable).
I have no reason to believe that is the case though. It feels more like this is a temporary thing to encourage spending for Skulls hype.
yea it’s more fun to play dt when they also give premium currency in the events.
it makes players more willing to play and also buy skins possibly.
i hope this is the only begin and that other events, will also have as last tier aquilas
if it’s only during skull warhammer event then rip.
i think for now it is been something new and nice
new class
Can’t buy this DLC, ACAB. 1/5 game will refund
I dislike double-dipping on DLC AND cosmetics.
Again, they should follow the HD2 model where everything is capable of being earned in-game.
Until what’s caused my case of FFS is actually addressed (no commissary update, horrific premium store and lack of cosmetic customisation, horrendous directionless balancing)
I don’t see myself coming back anytime soon let alone paying even more money.
Just to make sure I get this right… First GW starts a spurious legal action against literally hundreds of people utilising the most predatory practices allowed under the frankly hilarious legal system of Florida (look it up)… Basing all of this BS on “copyright infringement”… And then Chubby Cherubfish almost immediately announces a DLC based on the most blatant IP rip-off in a setting mostly based on IP rip-offs (look up Judge Dredd if you lived under the rock until today).
I must say, the balls on them would make Slaanesh blush. No shred of decency left. Just corporate greed to the max.
And don’t even try to tell me at this point that FS and GW are separate entities. They’re so deep in bed together that they could sue each other for alimony at this point. Guilt by association.
Call me a fool(and I probably am) but I’m kinda hopeful the new narrative content will be a trial bed for solo mode, assuming its just an expansion/elaboration of the already in-game tutorial mission.
You’re not the only one.
