Maybe they meant a quarter of a century, though
My favorite joke since release: ‘Seasonal content’
As it stands ‘content’ in general seems to be too big a challenge, let alone a seasonal pacing.
Ugh, yeah, that’s bad. Especially given our casino crafting system. Having flat out dead blessings is really bad /=
I know that the missing solo mode has already been mentioned.
Nonetheless I feel like it would be helpful to have the actual statement concerning linked as well
Now we are confident in our Dedicated Servers, we would like to take the time and answer those recurring couple of questions that remain; “Can I play Darktide solo?”, “Can I play a private game with one or two of my friends?”.
The answers will be Yes, and Yes.
We’ve been working on an option to play exclusively in Solo Mode, where you will be hosting locally your own instance with bots…
…Solo play is in its final stages of testing as we fix the last issues that remain. We aim to release this at Launch. If not, a patch shortly after that in December.
Adding this to the Grudge for posterity. You have my sincerest thanks.
grumbles
AYE! No doubt, these grudges must be remembered. Fine work @Ragnarok101 nods
The funniest thing for me is that the Orthus Offensive really, really seemed like it was supposed to be a Halloween themed event.
I don’t have any official source for it besides how the maps looks and plays, but everything getting scary decorations, the level being dark with red lights, and the trap room all felt like a Halloween walk through horror house.
The Book of Grudges even calls Long Beards who haven’t posted in 2 years lol.
He’s been waiting for his chance to spread the quote, and pursue the grudge, as a true Longbeard should.
Specific quote regarding the cosmetic store rotations.
Their insult to our intelligence has been recorded.
Updating, as apparently Solo Mode was canned quietly without them telling us.
Tbf I don’t think it was canned quietly. When Catfish said it was, “on the backburner” I think everyone knew at that time solo was dead.
I still think Solo deserves to mentioned, as it’s something that is important for a lot of players (and with the new penance system, is something I would like to see).
It’s still being kept in the book, I’m just providing further information.
If unfixed bugs count, then the Overpressure bug should be added to the book of grudges. It’s supposed to boost damage that scales as your magazine size decreases, but the damage increase has been non-existant since launch.
Pre-nerf Flamer managed just fine, but post-nerf and post–enemy health buff the Flamer has continued to languish - Had this blessing be fixed it’d probably be in a better spot.
If you’ve got a bug report I can link, I’ll add it.
If that blog had been talking about the character system they wanted, rather than spending paragraphs trying to convince everyone that what was released in the beta and at release was different to Vermintide 2’s character and career system, it wouldn’t have curdled into yoghurt straight away.
So while I never believed the ‘aquilas would be earned by playing!’ thing fully, apparently Fatshark back in 2022 was saying that Aquilas would be earned through methods other than just buying them.
This promise was never fulfilled.
So it’s going in the book.
God this thread is depressing. Necessary, but depressing.
I prefer to think that it’ll push Fatshark to actually do something, seeing their mistakes and screwups collated in exacting fashion. The Crafting Memorial got its nod, after all.
