Reminds me of a message I sent to @FatsharkQuickpaw , which never got a response and I’m not sure if it was even read lol. I initially changed my mind on posting it publicly, but with this latest development, here we go!
I genuinely can’t help but be bitter about this comment:
I have over 500 hours across the three Tide games, 371 of them in Vermintide 2 alone (and I’d estimate nearly 300 of that is solo with bots). I own all the non-cosmetic DLC for both Vermintide games, and I’ve been active on the official forums since November 2023, showing my support and passion for the series.
And yet… I don’t look forward to what’s “in store” for me. Over the past two years of fighting for solo mode, it’s become painfully clear to me that Fatshark doesn’t care about players like me, the solo players who love your games, the solo players who buy your DLC, the solo players who want the games to be amazing. I mean, after two years , I still can’t get a simple acknowledgement about whether Darktide will ever get a solo mode.
At this point, I’m mostly hanging on out of sheer stubbornness. It genuinely feels like Fatshark doesn’t want the money or support of us solo players. There’s no other reasonable explanation for the total silence on this issue. So when I see “thanks for your support” and “we hope you’re looking forward to new content,” it just feels soulless and hollow.
I doubt you will actually respond to this, but I just wanted to say that I know it’s not your fault. You can’t control what you’re allowed to share with us. But it’s eye-opening to realize that announcements like this no longer fill me with excitement or hope, only frustration and fatigue.
I’m not saying I’m done fighting for Solo Mode, I won’t ever be done until we get confirmation that it’s coming or that it’s scrapped. I’m just saying… I’m tired of this.
I was going to leave this as a public comment, but decided against it at the last minute. Didn’t want to be too much of a downer.
