The ability to breach walls like this has given me an idea for a new type of optional objective in the other missions

Imagine walking through a mission like Vigil Station Oblivium and, instead of grims or scrips, we get told something like-

“We’ve just received word of a high priority target in your area. Use one of those breaching charges, make a shortcut and take it out.”

And just like that, we get a way point directing us toward a wall which we blow up, walk through, and on the other side is a simple combat room the devs have glued onto the map for us to fight in.

It could be a boss fight, a room full of enemies, a room where the heretics were containing a couple of monstrosities etc. There could even be guaranteed meds/ammo/resources in there as an additional incentive to take the fight.

I would like this kind of variety. I’m not a huge fan of pulling breaching charges or scanner devices or skulls out of our butts randomly.

I hope they add in game crates or container, that a thunder hawk just dumped or a wrymwood agent has left in hiding for us to open.

Would be really cool if they added new areas to the current maps to create new paths, would help with the RNG as well with replayability with new areas and new objectives, Defiinitely like your High priority target idea, Like how the current bosses are in the assissination mission but toned down would be cool. IMO Those traitor captains need a complete overhaul as a boss fight but the way they are slightly nerfed would be perfect for this like side quest

I want that demo charge instead of smoke grenades. Let me attach it to Crushers please. Hehe.

But on topic, I do agree it’d make for an exciting boss fight or something, big ol fight just as we rush through the smoke of the explosion. I doubt they would be able to implement it in previous missions very easily as an optional objective, but I hope we see more demo charge stuff. The section with the ragers on the other side of the wall was a good surprise first time.

I hope we get to mess around with other 40k tech gagetry too, never imagined we’d be doing James Bond stuff, but I like it!

Swapping smoke grenade for a sticky mine would be pretty groovy ngl. Being able to attach it to any surface or throw it right at the enemy, kinda like the mine thrower explosives in Dead Space

iirc this is basically how melta bombs/grenades are used in the lore. Magnets in the bomb attach it to whatever bit of armor you throw it at. Would be a cool high damage single target grenade option for sneak vets, just run up to a crusher, slap a grenade on it, and run away.

Yeah, something like that!

Just spitballing here of course, I’m sure we’ll never actually get it lol

Someone in another thread had an idea for replacing smoke grenades with a plasma pistol, with adjacent modifiers to make it Bolter or Inferno. God I loved that idea. I hope someone out there at Fatshark occasionally reads these too. Sigh.

Sounds like a cool ide

It’s genius!
