Please fatshark, for the love of the Emprah, let us change class in the lobby.
This wasn’t an issue in vermintide due to how the hub worked, and also when hot-joining you’d get option to select a different class if yours was taken.
However here there’s situations where I’m like “I’ll go psyker, haven’t seen a psyker in 4 games now”…. lo and behold, now there’s 3 psykers including myself….
Please just let us change class in lobby…
unsure though how this would work the way the character selection currently is. if you click on play without having selected a character first, you get a message that no team was found. you have to cancel that game and select a character first. changing that system might take more work than fatshark does usually put into something that already works.
I mean, they’ve done it before with vermintide, so I’m sure they’ve got the knowledge on how to get it done, they could even let most of it be as it is right now currently to minimize work, just add an additional in-lobby function.
Like, I was going to say, maybe I’m just being nostalgic, but I’m sure we all have had moments where we had fun with a full ogy squad or a full squad of lexmates, however most of the time I’d like some variation in the squad.
Didn’t deep rock galactic let hosts optionally disable class duplicates for their lobby? I know we don’t exactly host lobbies (besides havoc party finder kinda being like that), but remembering that just makes me want to have a similar option here too.
DRG does have this feature, yeah.
I only play one character (Jado my Scum) so this doesn’t apply to me, but I think it’s a good suggestion, nonetheless.
Although the best matches is when I get three other Scum’s in my team for posse gang war down in the big T!
Would also be good if we could change character from the mission select screen and when joining see which classes are in that game, so we dont join a game with 3 seconds left on the mission start timer and no time to swap classes, or join blind to 4 rumbler ogryns in HISTG.
Second this. Just add the lobby preparation screen to joining a match in progress, instead of straight to the dropship.
Then make it so you can change characters in that screen. Maybe this functionality could be waived for Havoc lobbies to avoid the ole bait-n-switch. Or not.
