Stimm Crate and Chem dependency

The right side tree has a rough interaction. Chemical dependency keystone does not stack when getting stim effect from your Stimm crate. The stim is applied, but you do not get a stack, you have to only stim yourself manually to get the bonus. This seems antithetical to the perk tree and a bug.

Steps to Reproduce (Required):

  1. Equip Stimm crate.
  2. Equip Chemical Dependency Keystone.
  3. Put stimm crate on ground, no stack.
  4. Stimm manually, you get a stack.

Might be, but then the stimm crate shouldn’t use your stim. If i’m expending the stim to stack dependency then it should stack. Also means the capstone doesn’t really work with the right side ability, or severely reduces the utility of your big thing. If it’s intentional it’s very strange design.

I’ve been using my stim right before I drop the crate to bypass this for now. You’ll get the stack and also be able to drop the crate for the team.

you can drop the crate for the team regardless, it just won’t apply the stimm effect

currently the left tree contradicts itself because you have to choose between dependency stacks and having an ult that actually does something

you don’t even necessarily need dependency stacks either because there’s a one point upgrade that instantly recharges your kit when stimm comes off cooldown, and that generally happens first
