"Stealth BETA Patch" causes audio devices to stop working on PC

Issue Description:

With the newest “stealth BETA patch” that came out 29/11/2022 the game causes all sound devices to lag or stop working briefly. Microphone doesn’t work and I can’t hear any audio. Game, windows sounds or any browser sounds etc. I show evidence of how spotify also stops working in the background. I have no issues with audio when not playing the game.

I have played this game every day for the beta period and haven’t had any audio issues prior to this update.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Start up the game

Looking in to it. Thank you!

I can report the same issue. I have the problem with my Soundblaster Audigy FX. Audio completely cuts out in game after you deployed the stealth beta patch this morning. Never had the issue before. Only restarting the game temporarily fixes it until it inevitably crashes the audio again. So far I haven’t notced in on my mainboards Realtek audio chipset but will update if it happens as well later on.

EDIT: Well, can’t check anymore because the beta is over. But I remember having the same audio bug with Red Dead Redemption 2. If that helps, maybe there is some SDK (EAC or whatever) that both games use that could trigger this.

Similar Issue for me.

Audio in the Main Menu and initial loading screen is alright, but upon loading into the games lobby I will hear a split second of audio before all audio for my entire pc will begin stuttering in and out. After troubleshooting, i ruled out my own audio drivers, my sound card, and file integrity issues.

Even completely clean installed the game and it still does the same thing. It’s been happening since the small patch just prior to launch maintenance.
