No, I don’t believe so. In the code it was only the regions with restrictions and “unknown,” which I don’t believe applies to everywhere else in the world.

I can see an argument for allowing “realistic” violence to dispatch an enemy, but stopping once the violence would be only gratuitous. Desecrating a corpse maybe as well?

No I looked at the code and it appears to have always been region-specific.
EDIT: actually, based on testing Igromanru (who made the de-censor mod) was doing with someone on the Gamespass version, even with the ragdoll restriction disabled the GP version doesn’t seem to have ragdolls at all.

Yeah us Microsoft Store version owners on PC have not had the option for ragdoll interactions since the game came out, we also haven’t been able to get a mod to enable it working, which i would gladly pay for. Hell ive even considered re buying the game on steam if only they could transfer over all my stuff, but thats not possible so im stuck on the sh*tty xbox version of the game lmao

it needs to be “moraly justified”
one should dig up some “Anschauungsobjekte” and force them to watch and smell corpse jiggle physics in real life in various states of decay.
maybe then they see the nonsense in turning corpses into display puppets.
anyways none of that stuff makes “sense” but hey nudity is endorsed so drop your pants and enjoy the weather

personally im all for the “complete package” closest thing we got without modding was fallout 1&2 back in the day with child killing, slavery and prostitution as a default setting and no-one felt “sensitive” about it.

So can someone please explain to me what that means exactly? I’ve been playing on the PC Gamepass (in Germany) since the release, so will the hotfix on December 5th make everything playable as it was before the last update? (everything like the release)… If so, then everything is fine… If not, what’s the deal with the post-death ragdoll effects? What exactly are not available anymore??? Or has the post death ragdoll effects not been there since the release and I can play darktide like before ? I’m confused. (excuse me, English is not my native language)

I’d have to disagree. Part of it is context; does it make sense for sensitive topics like these to be discussed in the media, and is there a believable explanation, or are people going to view it as nothing more than an edgy inclusion for the sake of triggering snowflakes? “Realistic” isn’t grimdark, and sometimes a bit of sanitization and cutting the edge can improve a story.

The hotfix will revert the Gamepass version to the state it was in, with the only restriction being no post-kill rag doll interactions (chopping up bodies), just like before this last hotfix (and since launch).

as for fallout and its immersion, for me, its a huge part to be believable and thus me wanting to spend time in the game.
it fits the setting and was there the very first two iterations until bethesda took over.
after that totally different franchise only common in title.
fast forward and you have fallout 76 which is almost a mockery of the source material.
as for 40k in general, i love the dark dystopian feel it conveys.
you’re meat in the grinder, little more than a tiny cog in an endless machine, instantly replaceable and of no consequence in the grand scheme of things.
expendable meat surrounded by cosmic horrors that turn you into grotesque beings given the chance.
that dread that looms over every lower imperium citizen, worker, soldier or convict IS a great source of a tight atmosphere.
an atmosphere that needs gore to the physically possible and seeing what slaneesh would do even beyond.
kicking corpses or limbs away out of sheer necessity to remain your footing on the blood and gut soiled metal floor is the most natural thing in combat i’d guess if you’re hip deep in heretical remains.
it doesnt need to be a simulator, but gore is a reality if i chop through hundreds of limbs.
heck even gutting a fish makes quite a mess if you dont put something under it.
disagreement is fine, i just dont accept late censorship of something i enjoy for 2 years that was for all matters the “final” product to be given an age rating.

austrian here which loves your games. PLZ remove any kind of censorship with the next patch. In austria we never got that kind of laws. Germany yes. But not Austria. And even when Salzburg uses USK it makes no sense to include me as well (vienna) and the rest of austria. PLZ make it happen. I dont want to stop support/play your games because of some … censorship …

Even Warhammer Vermintide 1 and 2 passed fully uncut in Germany including postmortal dismemberment.
Similar games like Left 4 Dead released later fully uncut here in Germany including Postmortal dismemberment.
Why not Dark Tide ? This doesn’t make any sense. It destroys the immersion. The statement ragarding USK restrictions isn’t true. Censoring after 2 years retroactively is not customerfriendly.
Please reconsider to prove your game again at the USK in the original version.

Totally logical. Killing people in the most brutal and painful ways is just fine and dandy but doing the same to a corpse is crossing the line.

Unfortunately i bought darktide 2 times bc i was pissed that the german version was cencored and then the austrian version is cencored too smh i waited long time for this game tested it on pc and wanted to dive in on playstation with friends and this is what we get…
