See title. Just like every other update, enemy numbers have been massively overinflated for no apparent reason and spawns are completely nuts. It’s borderline unplayable.
Steps to Reproduce (Required):
Load into a high-level mission post-patch.
Experience the Darktide equivalent of testicular torsion.
Am I the only one that actually likes this? Spawn rates have been abysmal since console release. This is actually great. The most challenging difficulty is actually challenging again.
I’m not fond of sudden, unannounced mood swings that seem to be more Fatshark having godawful version control than an effort to make Auric challenging.
‘Sabotage’ implies that it is worthwhile. The grind is bad and should not be indulged.
All I want to say to the devs reading this: there’s actually a subset of people that like this (unintentional?) spawn rate change and I’d love for fatshark to have an official vote or survey on this.
The difficulties are badly balanced anyway. The curve is not smooth at all.
I’m cool if the difficulty stays super hard for Auric. I’m just annoyed that it keeps getting reverted every time there’s a patch, because it says the more sane spawn rates and difficulty are what the company wants to have and they’re not capable of keeping it there for whatever reason.
Obviously if the hotfix fixes this on the backend, no problem.
Oh I agree. There’s little to no consistency. It’s all over the place. But did you expect anything else from the company that pushed a wrong vt2 branch to production and kept insisting that it was the correct one, while people complained that none of their patch notes and fixes matched the actual game?
