Some sounds not playing when too much is happening at once

Issue Description:
Ever since the big patch I’ve noticed some sounds are not playing when there are too many enemies spawned. I assume it might be reaching a cap of sounds allowed to play at once. This was never the case before but now I’ve seen it happen several times, it’s more noticeable when a special’s sound cue is missing and you get hit with no warning.

Steps to Reproduce:
Have lots of enemies spawned and a lot happening. I’m not sure how many but i’ve noticed it happening most often during the last objectives with the big constant waves, even more often with modifiers that spam more special enemies on harder difficulties.

Platform:
Steam PC

I noticed this bug ever since high-shock games were added. If too many specials spawn at once it will stop playing the “sting” that lets you know a special has appeared, and if there are too many it won’t play any special sounds at all making it impossible to dodge them.

Lately after the last patch it seems to have gotten even worse. The sound system will “crash” after attempting to play too many sounds at once and will cut out for several seconds before resuming normal sound again.
