Every time I start one of these threads, the opening line to Linkin Parks’s “Bleed It Out” pops in my head: “Yeah, here we go for the hundredth time”
I know Fatshark is going to pretend this thread doesn’t exist, but some “feedback” about your “gameplay” is that we were promised a way to play solo in 2022 and it’s almost 2026 and you still haven’t provided that or given us an update on its status.
I’ll concede that launch was really rough and you had more important priorities, but if you expect me to believe that Mortis Trials, a campaign restructure, Havoc, and two DLC classes to pad your wallets were worked on and released while a promised feature from 2022 was still “not a priority?” I may be a solo player, but I’m not stupid or blind.
If you have no intention of ever adding solo mode, just freaking say that publicly. It’s getting ridiculous. Grow up and take accountability. People will understand if you changed your mind. I’ll be disappointed, sure, but having disappointed fans is better than angry and bitter fans. After all, if you’re not going to deliver on this minor promise, how can we trust anything you say in the future? You’re losing more and more trust from your players the longer you don’t deliver and continue to ignore everyone asking, and if you can’t see how trust is more valuable than adding more DLC and microtransactions in this industry, then you really are doomed as a company
Honestly, at this point, I really don’t see how making it so you can load into private matches solo isn’t something they could easily do. Even if they announce that they never intend to do it, we should keep asking. It’d honestly make the game more profitable anyway.
they would have to make AI logic for all of the different weapons with all of the different special attacks.
vermintide 2 had simpler movesets for weapons and even then they had to make a blanket type logic for all of the weapons which made the bots bad with most of them and only decent with some of them
I mean you are right but it’s been 4 years they have had definitely had a enough time to implement it if they were working on it, and VT bots just learn off the player, and even if we can’t have that just being able to customise the bots class and skill tree would help alot
The experience of solo just isn’t good atm. Look at the complaints about backfill being changed/borked. When it’s improved, I’m sure we’ll get it. Always have been.
And forcing solo players to play with others doesn’t sell cosmetics, it pushes people (like the OP) away from the game. The rest of these arguments aren’t even worth addressing…spite lol
I’d buy cosmetics if I could buy them for bot allies. I’d also buy the game itself for friends who like playing games alone, because they might play it both alone and with friends.
