So ... which is gonna be the next class?

Pretty much all interactions are on an auspex held by the character, so interacting with anything in the levels shouldn’t be an issue. The’d be able to reach door buttons I’m sure.

They would need new weapons but so did Arbites apparently. And cosmetics? Well, if Arbites is anything to go by, they actually only need a single page of cosmetics.

Scale - everything is large enough for an Ogryn, therefore it’s suitable for anything smaller.

So never say never.

My hunch is Admech but my hope is still Ratling. I’d be very happy with either.

If it’s AdMech then I hope the team interactions will be as humorous as those from The End And The Death books. I genuinly lol’d at some of it.

I stan for admech but finding the exoskeleton just now is making me see possibilities I didn’t think of before.

You going to call yours Bardin or Karl?

If I recall correctly, the code name for Arbites started with an A… The current suspected code name for the new class starts with a B…

Bratling? Bad-Mech?

Blood Ravens confirmed. Lock up your relics.

Good music, for 40K Fans above 30. (If below 30, you are still allowed to enjoy this.)

Bretonnian.

I am lowkey hoping for a low-ranking tech adept or something.

Like, imagine their gimmick being a metallic arm on their back and their overall blitzes/abilities/auras/skills modify the look of themselves and that arm, and they use the arm for their blitzes and abilities.

Fully prepared to be disappointed either way. Don’t wanna get my hopes up with wishful thinking.

Hopefully their experimentation with armor that has cosmetic & gameplay effects for Arbitrator has led them to this result for the likely new Mechanicus class.

Another thing is that at one point, a chunk of the tree was dedicated to talents about picking your Arbites’ armour, based on various options from the lore or tabletop. So you’d pick things like what kind of visor your Arbites wore, or from what areas was the gear made, and so on. In the end we weren’t happy with how that was turning out in practice, but it was an interesting aspect that we explored.

If broker is anything to go by, it might be a Whispering Merchant

March 31, 2025 gave us a model for the generic Whisper Merchant, which makes this unit an odd one out, as it is the first unit where its’ special character was given the model first rather than the other way round. Based on the model he seems to come quite packing despite being a gossip monger, wielding a freaking Bolt Pistol on his holster.

That option did come out of left field once already so the chances are not zero whatever they are . . .

Mechanicus penal legion stuff or ratling.
As much as I’d like it to be Sororitas, they are just Zealots on massive steroids, Tempestus Scions would be the same for Vet.

If it is going to be a Mechanicus class, this is what I would hope for. A Tech Adept being sent in by Hadron & Kayex would be infinitely more interesting to me in my biased ways than playing a Skitarii or whatever it is those mad ‘Omnissiah’ worshipping weirdos in the red robes employ for fighting.

Fresh hot prediction: the new class won’t be anything anyone predicted and the Commodore’s Vestures that week will have wall to wall mechanicus flavored cosmetics to quell the resulting player riots
