I hope it’s a Mechanicus class. If it’s just some random ganger or something I’ll be disappointed.
aeldari corsair or tech adept is my pick
Of the ones that I think are possible to be next class, the classes I would hope to see next are the Chiurgeon, a healer class based on the Guard Medic/Sister Hospitaller, or Desperado (Hive Scum), a “gunsliger” class mainly based on Necromunda Hive Gangers/Hive Scum.
Has to be something ad mech related
they’ll do what they did with rogue this year with both releasing an arbities class/character and release a class in line with other 40k game’s update/dlc release and the next class release another 40k game is having next year is sm2’s tech marine.
I kind of expect that to be the update coming at the end of the year, considering they never reveal stuff that far out. Wouldn’t be upset to be wrong though.
All signs to me point to Admech, a servitor of somekind or range skitari. The loudest the community has been for a new class was Adeptus Mechanics. If anything something to reset and focus the game on range combat after the smash n bash arbites.
From a lore POV its easy with Hadron and Kayex on the map. There should be some detachment protecting Admechs interest for knowledge.
Ratskin ganger! I would quite like a Hive Ganger though, so long as I can make them Clan Escher-esque. Big mohawk, amazing hair colours, let rip with attitude.
-
That it’s a human class
-
That it has a playstyle or role distinct from existing classes
-
That it has lore or background consistent with the 40K universe
-
That it offers freshness in terms of weapons, abilities, and visuals
Considering these points, perhaps something mechanical or engineer-related like the Adeptus Mechanicus or Skitarii would fit.
The Adepta Sororitas or Battle Sister would also be interesting.
Personally, I’d love to see a Battle Sister, though I’m not sure if wearing power armor would make her too close to a Space Marine. I’m not very familiar with 40K lore, so I can’t say for certain.
If it were a female-only class, it might help reduce costs when it comes to voice acting.
Tempestor to finally get all the people nagging for a volleygun to shut up.
Get ready to never play Veteran ever again.
I recall seeing a joke at the time that it might be a programmer’s inside joke. Like they named the Arbitrator “broke” while WIP (as in “broken OP”) and named the next class “broker” because it was going to even stupider levels.
I guess we’ll see. If it’s a fully-armoured Sororitas or Space Marine, lulz then we’ll know that was the case.
Admech Tech adept with a Skitarii, Tech/Electoo Priest and Data-smith tracks.
We can know answer if we know what models GW wants to sell most now.
I’m sure it will be a hugely unexpected and possibly generic class, something like an Assassin (it could also be a Bladedancer or a Rogue Trader) or something similar that no one will expect and everyone will weep over, even though for the sake of ‘balance,’ like they did with the Arbites, the other 1% is going to be something Mechanicus related, which everyone expects and wants.
But if you want a conspiracy theory: in Rogue Trader they are going to release two classes with the upcoming DLCs. One seems to be something with implants; it could be something related to the Mechanicus or an Assassin. Also, in DLC 4 something is suggested that has to do with the Warp or the ‘impossible,’ but I highly doubt it since there are already Psykers, and I don’t think they will introduce a Xeno—that would be really silly.
And you might be asking: what does the Rogue Trader game have to do with it, if it’s from a different company? Well, they released the Lex Imperialis update at the same time, so they might have something to do with DLC 3, which suggests an Assassin or a Mechanicus member.
Wild card: Jokaero.
Weapons: entire hands of digital weapons but you won’t know what each digit does until you fire it although the chances are it would be something you need at the time. Can be anything energy based: infantry las shot, lascannon shot, melta blast, flame blast, plasma shot, arc shot, rad blast.

At this point, after they added the Arbites, I think SoB would also be okay.
If the playerbase would just accept that SoB’s Power Armor
isn’t making them into “walking tanks”
and we are already fighting monsters that should by all means crub stomp our rejects,
and yet we still win, I see no real issue anymore.
Armor is only cosmetic here and lore-wise I see no issue of SoB being deployed here.
Maybe a convent is in danger on Atoma Prime
OR they are just the (over)zealous BolterBi… ähm BolterFemales they always were.
There’s just no way. Considering Ogryn vs humans, unless they take a scaling approach to existing assets, we’d need:
- New unique faces/hairstyles/tattoos
- A completely new and large initial weapon roster
- More effort in cosmetics
I hope I’m proven wrong, but no way it’s gonna be Ratling. Especially this fast after Arbie. My guess is that Arbie DLC brought in more cash than anything else and they fast tracked the new class. They said previously it was a toss up between Arbie and another at the time, so a lot of discovery and blueprinting work was probably already done.
It’s only an announcement we’re getting in three weeks, the actual release will take longer, but I hope it’s not a hive ganger, because that just seems boring to me. Considering effort required, it’s most likely though. Fatshark aren’t exactly known to be overachievers.
I thought it was a dried earthworm.
Thx for the correction. ![]()
I don’t think it’ll be squats, but I also don’t think any of these things are actually impediments to a squat class. The bigger issue is making sure they’d work in the levels/game, not creating whatever assets are needed.
I really don’t know what it’ll be, but the broker code name is still in the items list and the items it’s attached to does seem to suggest a standard-sized human.
And I just noticed that the Arbites dog is housed in a generic “companions” folder…Rogue Trader with a birb? Who knows!
Did someone say Brokhyr?

Fwiw it would surprise me if we got squats, after everything FS have said about char heights and level design.
Edit: Mind you, the exoskeleton makes them quite tall.
Very interesting! Thanks for sharing!
Honestly, I’d love for some kind of mechanized character that maybe just skipped the dang shop entirely and had cosmetics tied primarily to build kit/functionality.
