Do you think ive never beat a maelstrom or a hi shock mission without those things? I just told u i was in a IIIVEG mission with 3 ogryns and a zealot and it was a breeze and your response is well dont play with shout or chorus. Most zealots dont play book and you dont always have a veteran on your team. Also there are many reasons why hi shock missions are easy and its not just because of chorus and VoC spam lol.
Right, 3 Ogryns and a Zealot, and you expected to sweat?, my point stands
i’m not some dumb dumb who think meta in this game is all about the golden thougness, with 3 Ogryns and a chorusless Zealot you can breeze trough new Havoc 40 like you did in your malestorm just fine
you are prob too green to know tho
i’d use non-meta stuff in maelstrom for variety and to make the game more challenging, so i don’t have to put up with this deranking nonsense.
and yet I keep seeing people getting absolutely obliterated in mere Aurics (not even maelstorm).
The reason why I don’t bother with Havoc is because I don’t like being bottlenecked into comps/setups.
I wish there was a smarter reply to this, but it can be summarized as “lmao”. Differences between various Havoc levels are largely insignificant. Sure, the first ones are quite easy, but the latter ones are more or less the same in terms of challenge and there is no smooth progression between the auric board and havoc. The latter is either way easier than auric or full blast CBT that is mitigated by very specific builds and tactics and a complete headache otherwise (enemies glowing in about half of the rainbow spectrum as of current don’t help in that regard). It’s also quite inaccessible due to a number of matchmaking mechanics. Struggling to find games or just people interested in havoc in the first weekend after the update, either through party finder or FS’ own Discord server is not a good sign.
Unlucky taunt cancel at the end ![]()
But honestly, from the way you chain attacks, you already play like someone from Havoc 40.
Reaper just obliterated your team in the room before the ritual, should have gone back to the bridge.
Exactly. I had harder games on Havoc 28-30 than at the finish line. Yes, it all depends on the quality of your teammates, but lower Havocs can be as hard as 40, depending on the RNG. It was actually the same for season 1 of Havoc, just less extreme.
If Havoc 25 can be almost as hard as Havoc 40, it means something is clearly wrong with the balancing. I’ve had games where Twins don’t spawn at all, and I had games where Twins spawn along with 1-2 other bosses.
I think there are just two stages of Havoc right now. Everything below 20 and everything above 20. Nice “linear” progression. At this point, why not just have 5 fixed Havoc stages each week that you need to complete, similar to Deep Dives from Deep Rock Galactic? One stage is 10, the other is 20, then 30, then 35 and finally 40. The majority of ranks don’t matter at all, because Havoc 36 can be as difficult as 40, or 25 can be as difficult as 32.
I wish this was said more often for more forum posters.
Its intentional.
If i understand this correctly now havoc is harder then old one. Like now 40 havoc is like 50 lvl in grim protocol times.
Very interesting choice to put smite on a psyker for havocs… Orange is the stagger immune right? Or was that just dmg output increase?
Then you deal with the META modifiers, and it’s the same content that everyone is comfortable with running. The Director should be allowed to pick some modifiers and there should be a ban list for maps and the director picks randomly from the last one.
Red are stagger immune.
Orange are just harder to kill and they spread this buff to enemies next to them. I don’t know how it works exactly, but orange buff probably buffs the hitmass of enemies, meaning your attacks penetrate less enemies and deal less damage when you hit multiple of them. They also have increased defences (Crushers suddenly take 1.5x more attacks to kill), so maybe their armor values get upgraded.
Smite is no use now in havoc highter than 30.
U have final toss or ogryn with loyal protector.
Both of that really dislikes smite.
I only play brainburst on Psyker, I don’t like assail or smite.
It’s a shame, honestly. They just removed one build.
So now it’s either Trauma staff or Purgatus. I’ve played with both today (36 & 37 Havoc).
Void staff and Surge are kinda bad on Havoc. I wish they’d buff something about them. One is just a worse Trauma that can also snipe minor stuff which doesn’t matter, since brainburst can do the same, the other is a short-ranged single target weapon in a mode where you get swarmed by dozens of elites at the same time.
They need to buff boss damage on void staff and give surge one additional bounce of the lightning.
Brainburst is top option because u can take “that” blaze talent.
Good
my thanks, sah. ![]()
darktide is about the only game since quake where i put my heart and soul into being the best i can.
which for most parts the game rewards in kind by absolute brilliant and adrenaline rushing gameplay.
it was unlucky for them to split, even more so taking my calls into consideration and seeing the benefit of doing so until then.
i was focused on that choke point, still i always make the same mistake expecting others to see the “obvious” as well and acting accordingly.
yes, this would not have happened with “voice chat” but given the nature of random matche, i accept the outcome for what it is ![]()
keep in mind i do this mainly to grow as a channel, offering the most demanding content.
if you (and i) are bored with HISTG and auric maelstrom, imagine how boring it’d be to watch ![]()
then theres the youtube algorithm, an enemy far worse than any quadruple boss spawn ![]()
well since i’m playing with randoms AND have limited options to chose from during the day, i tend to not check their loadout before since “beggars cant be choosers” and rather try to focus on my “output” ![]()
frankly with all the rainbow brigade lately, i didnt check, no matter if pink brown or rashun colored, ogryn smash ![]()
this is my complaint exactly. imagine if you could only play either champion or high ranked weaves in vt2.
yeah, with half the maps and modifiers in the game missing and custom game balance that changes which builds are viable and how the game plays (shooter changes, toughness/hp reductions, hitmass changes, ammo changes, demotion system so all your teammates minmax every mission)
i would like to play the normal base game without the odd custom balance and limitation on maps, and have it be a challenge. i’m confused that some people think this is an odd thing to want
U want to play more difficult game without changes that increases difficult?
you think having 7 maps out of what, 20 available makes the game more difficult?
as for the rest you can achieve difficulty without -flat toughness -ammo and -cleave. Cataclysm in vt2 was harder than legend and it did none of these things except maybe a bit less ammo which is fine
