I have only two suggestion about the new system: put a upgrade to max button at hadron and a buy 10 weapon at once button at the armory.
Anyway I’m really happy with what we got!

yes i am , but then i always have been , the new crafting makes very little difference to me i had weapons before. its not really for me im not time limited. i imagine those with a small windows appreciate being able to play a map in that time frame.
I’m enjoying myself. The new system still seems a little clunky but it’s overwhelmingly better than the previous iteration. I feel like Darktide is finally where it should have been at launch. It only took a little under two years.
doesn´t need to as the “old” life wasn´t over anyways ![]()
coming from “reroll until rarity” to this is a major step forward in order to get your stuff in the first place.
but after a certain amount of playtime i had my rolls the way i wanted them.
that´s not to say i fine tuned my karsolas and kickback respectively and found tiny breakpoints in my own playstyle going “easier”.
newcomers will have a lot quicker access to viable weapons, what they make of it is a topic for another discussion ![]()
been playing it yes, had it pop up immediately as HISTG auric damnation, was fun.
now i´m waiting for it to enter the maelstrom pool for as good as the design is, with the weapons tuned to max now, it was rather a stroll ( a nice one mind you, but the urgency wasnt there)
not gonna need one right now, with a few tweaks to b-tier weapons parked on the side, they found their back into the daily roster.
ripper with bleed is fun, my shield had the final 2% polished and my bonk stick hits 3% harder.
no irony here, i´m geniunely happy i got my loadout “fixed” and can resort to tools that are at maximum capacity.
of course new maps would be fun, but it´s a playground to perform on.
2-3 runs and i know them well enough to full throttle like the ones i´ve been playing since release.
the little nods like the exloding gas tank though give me a good chuckle.

makes for such fun situations, that alone revives a lot of the “fresh” feel.
It is an improvement to “minimise” RNG
Before there was the RNG weapon drops and Brunt buy then facing additional layer of RNG of crafting. 2x RNG.
The RNG is now on the Brunt and mission drop side only, no longer any crafting RNG.
So i.e. you find a weapon and you know exactly how far you can take it by. Then you can choose to then take to crafting terminal and freely choose perks/blessings.
It will cost few hundred plasteel/diamatine without RNG to go Orange/max empower.

The cost of swapping perks and blessings is so small it might as well by free and it is docket cost only. Blessing swap is 1000 dockets and perks swap is 2500 dockets.
Is it good?
Yes.
I’ve not engaged with the crafting system for a long time. And I spent a solid 15 minutes in it which did not feel terrible. I now have the gear I’ve wanted to try for a looooong time. And it’s real fun.
Also, the new mission is really challenging.
I like the changes to the crafting system. It doesn’t take long to max the weapon and more importantly it allows you to craft weapons in a deterministic way. Thanks to that I can finally switch perks and blessings to see what works for me. There is also improved weapon variety and additional QoL features. And lastly new mission is quite challenging but also fun.
Overall I think that the new update is a great addition that significatly improves game experience.
It’s good enough to purchase imperial edition for me.
