You’re further exemplifying my point, so sure, duly noted. And also, appreciate the orc history. Didn’t know they actually manifested from spores
Ok Kruber Grail Knight fun gameplay and we now have 4 classes to be revelead, hope they show up soon instead of per season, given how glacial pacing FS release seasons z.z
Bardin - Runepriest or Engineer
Kerillian - War Dancer
Sienna- I honestly dunno what they can do without shoving alternate reality and changing her lore.
Saltzpire- Arch Lector (Its a beefed up Warrior Priest, and given Kruber is a Grail Knight the power level would make sense)
I’ve played a few quick play weaves yesterday with a GK, and, unless we got extremely lucky, it seems Fatshark has had the good sense of removing tomes and grims quests from weaves. I hope the same has been done for FoW.
Yeah can confirm for weaves as we did 70 of them with a grail knight
That’s quite much, my friend. I’m worried a bit over here.
About what ?
I’m pretty sure it’s just because Kruber’s midichlorian count is so high, that the Lady just appeared to him since he’s the chosen one that can bring balance to the end times. Sounds like a good enough idea to base two more games on and help ruin the originals for everyone.
Side note: I like the Grail Knight so I’m not complaining.
I like the GK class. It can seem OP, but the trade off of the lack of ranged option or speed buff (beyond the flat 5%) does place some severe situational limitations on him.
The lore is… bad, really really bad, in the sense that it’s incredibly lazy. But I can get past that without too much trouble.
What I really feel is disappointment. This is a missed opportunity.
In my view a far superior idea would be a new character. A new character would be expensive, yes. Because as well as the art and animation for three classes (I’ll come back to this), there would also be a new voice actress (I’ll also come back to this), as well as additional lines for all the existing characters referring to the new character. But I feel it would be worth it if Fatshark are serious about ongoing support for this game. I for one would be willing to pay for this prospective new character, and that’s before any discussion about cosmetics.
As I said at the beginning, I really like the Grail Knight as an idea and as a class. Using this as part of a new character from Bretonnia would significantly diversify the character pool and reduce the ‘this character is taken’ syndrome. The other two classes in my mind could be a damsel (this, and party balance are why I suggest a female character) and a battle pilgrim. This would be a very diverse character, creating a lot more options and variety than any of the existing characters, while also remaining true to the lore and mythos of the Warhammer world. It would also introduce another caster, playing differently from Sienna and a different type of fanatic from Saltzpyre.
The only potential issue I see is that, as the classes are so diverse it could potentially require more lines of dialogue.
Surely this would be better than a new class hastily bolted on to Kruber? While also addressing one of the most popular community requests that has been ignored up to now, namely more characters to add diversity and alleviate the ‘this character is taken’ problem.
