Skin rotations or I quit the game

damn dude a threat realy lol kinda funny tho

The sweet spot was when GW/Black Library became confident enough in the setting to start taking it seriously (leaving the “satire” fig-leaf behind) but before the GRIMDIRP fixation set in.

this is the saddest thing i’ve ever heard, you think this is a flex somehow? please tell me this is a joke because you’re acting too edgelordy for me to tell if it’s sarcasm.

spend your time and fatshark cosmetic money on therapy, bub…

The only thing I ever spend my aquilas on are weapon skins and tbh if I got a cool plasma gun skin or a cool braced autogun skin id probably hardly ever even check the shop. All I really want is a cool braced autogun skin and all of my characters wear the final armor from the battle pass we got cuz thats real
Drip you cant buy and in my eues its cooler. Im not someone who particularly cares about fomo tactics because I dont engage with them so they dont bother me. Then again ive never cared about skins in an fps game. Also we can complain about fomo all we want but the tactic works and it is what it is. Im never going to stop playing a game because cosmetics, they are the least of my
Concern but hey you do you.

I understand why you might feel that way, but please listen to me.

My fiancée was murdered in January of 2023, and it completely destroyed me for months. I understand the pain of losing a loved one. I reached my lowest point in August of 2023 when I drank until I fell asleep crying on the floor of my local pub. The next morning when I awoke, I puked and puked and puked until there was nothing more to puke - my mother and I both knew I desperately needed therapy before I spiraled even further. I hope you come to the same conclusion I did. I am terribly sorry your parents were taken from you.

I am 23 years old and as a non-virgin… it is not actually very big of a deal if you are still a virgin. Seriously, losing your virginity is not the penultimate achievement the media makes it out to be because your virginity has no bearing on your worth as an individual. Word to the wise, though? If your actions in this thread are even somewhat similar to your real-world interactions… well, that’s certainly not a step in the right direction if you genuinely want to become an ex-virgin.

Your life is precious because the chances of you even being here are infinitesimal. For you to even exist everything had to be perfectly set in place. If even ONE thing went differently in the past you would have simply never come to exist. How many of your ancestors bled, breathed, laughed, lived, loved and toiled just for you to exist and claim you have nothing to live for over some cosmetics in a video game? You have LIFE itself to live for… the air to breathe, the smell of flowers, watching the sun rise or set and MANY more things. Enjoy your life, because there are many, many, many more people who could have lived but never did than there are people who actually get to live.

I hope this helps you realise your situation and how you sound while acting out and claiming you have “nothing to live for” over there being no Commissar cosmetics in the Commodore’s Vestures right now.

it’s not a battle pass, this is one of the few things that annoys me but it’s not a battle pass, it’s a basic unlock system that looks like a battle pass because people wanted an unlock tracker. there is not pass involved, it’s just part of the base game with an awkward tracking system.

whats the hostage for anyways ? she´s clearly “out-boobed”.
kudos for trigger discipline though, i guess :man_shrugging:

Okay, fine. I extended my hand to you and you spat on it. I hope your whole family has a nice Christmas.

maybe its the next step in A.I “flame gpt”

seems weird by now for a “real” ragebait

Im not talking about it being a battlepass in the sense that its something you pay for, I call it that because of the way it looks and the way you progress through it. Call it the new penance reward system i dont really care because I got my point across. Im not really here to argue semantics.

yeah this was the first round of skins. A lot of one and done items during that rotation.

Childish trolling aside, the current “design” of the cosmetic shop is malicious, anti-consumer and likely hurts their cash flow. I recently bought some Fatshark “coins”, mainly as a thank you for 2k hours of entertainment.

Here is a problem, a lot more casual people might have spent money if the shop actually had goods on offer. In most peoples life that coffee and cake deal during their lunch hour is far more attractive and ALWAYS available. Darktide cosmetic shop reminds me of commie Poland experience from 1980s. The shop is there, you have money, but there is NO goods to buy. Casual players have no time to check your shop, hoping for a set of cosmetics they might like to come back. Those people take their money elsewhere.

Learn to do business Fatshark: know your customers, offer variety of goods, make them always available and sort out your approach to pricing. I suggest volume of sales, not living of whales. You are selling digital goods, not handmade paraphernalia, you can afford that approach.

You are ignoring a massive chunk of the potential market.

imagine if they had a functional hub experience, and people could buy drinks (cheaply, like $1) for others that gave everybody there a buff for the next x hours, kinda like how LoL allows people to host skins for their team for a game. Or maybe allow people to buy different music to play during the game, and not just center their entire economy around fomo shops and skins. They can get incredibly creative with it if they really wanted to, like furnishing bunks for your characters, buying lore books for the game actually written by dan abnett, whatever. Something substantive that impacts gameplay but doesn’t take away or limit experiences from other people. I also bought weapon packs for vt2, and most of the reason why I bought the dlcs were bc the weapons they came with, because it impacted gameplay and allowed new experiences. It’s a damn shame they went their current route.

no, the current design is optimized for console players to browse easily.

Adding one drop of water to the ocean does not make it overflow.

I completely agree with you on everything you said except for that little bit there. I don’t want Fatshark to charge real money for any kind of in-game buffs. I’ve a great level of hatred for pay-to-win mechanics. I’d much prefer Fatshark to follow Deep Rock Galactic’s model for in-game buffs related to drinks.

Picture this. You’d get to collect unique item pickups across missions in order to purchase licences for different kinds of beers. For any of the starter beers or the beers you’ve licensed, you’d only be charged a reasonably small sum of Ordo Dockets.

it doesnt have to be pay-to-win. It could be something like all enemies explode into gibs when they die, or you have a drunk effect, or you get different voicelines
