Sienna's Fire Sword

Issue Type (Required):

Weapons

Issue Description (Required):

It looks like Sienna’s Fire Sword charged attacks are messed up. Some times they work as per usual and the moment you release LMB charged attack goes off, but every now and then charged animation will be delayed as much as possible, regardless of the fact that you released your finger from LMB. It can happen several times in a row, for the first and second charged attack in the chain. Seemingly random, but I am not sure of the reasons. I’ve noticed that something was off before, but couldn’t really put a finger on it, but since my recent experience with Pyromancer I definitely noticed the change. I can upload the video but not sure if it’s going to be helpful, since I don’t record my inputs, and that is the main thing to look for here.

Steps to Reproduce (Required):

  1. Play Sienna (preferably Pyromancer) with Fire Sword
  2. Try using charged attacks with Fire Sword and vary the timing of the charge
  3. Look for responsiveness of charged attack and how fast the attack animation goes off, relatively to button release.

[PC] Do You Use Mods? (Optional):

Yes, but I haven’t tried disabling them

Reproduction Rate (Required):

Common (<50%)

Platform (Required):

PC - Steam

I had the same problem with some heavy attacks. I adjusted in the “Gameplay Options” the “Input Buffer”, that worked for me.

Nope, after meddling with this option I’ve noticed that it does nothing to solve the issue. On the other hand I’ve figured out the 100% replication method of said issue. Just holding LMB ever so slightly will for some reason launch the longest charged attack, instead of the fastest one possible, and holding LMB for longer when charging instead, will actually make a quicker charged attack upon button release. I don’t know why this is the way it is, but it is absolutely counterintuitive. And it certainly isn’t how Fire Sword used to operate.

So in more simpler words, there is a sweet timing spot of getting the fastest charged attack, and holding it for too little will result in a very very slow attack.
