Yes I know about havoc.
Like havoc but with matchmaking? Might be little rough first couple weeks as people get used to it haha But would be funny to Queue depending on how much toughness health and ammo you’d get.
I imagine something like havoc with quick play and without all the annoying modifiers
I’d definitely run that when I was about to get off and don’t feel like waiting for party finder.
Havoc is like weaves so its never been a good substitute. But the tune ups to enemies and their HP should be used for a difficulty besides that. Since auric doesn’t leave a lot of room for more crazy more aggressive and bulkier enemies would fit right in. I’d like to have a reason to use up all of that ammo, not see 60% of it go away.
Yes either add a difficulty (exterminatus!) or turn auric into h40 level of difficulty and scale the lesser difficulties accordingly to fit the spectrum neatly.
There doesn’t feel like enough of a jump between some of them in their current state anyway tbh.
Would be nice to have auric scary again
Yes or just make existing auric harder. Or both.
I mean Mortis Trials means you become a Mortis Operative and you’re just training, but we have no pure ‘Mortis’ difficulty, so it could be that. However that might’ve just been Havoc, not sure.
That’s what happens when you only buff…
Doing the same thing over and over is not something smart when what you repeat fails every time…
I think havoc fills the role for harder beyond Auric fine.
I would appreciate a cataclysm equivalent. Auric is a smidge too easy but Havoc guts a lot of build variety so I feel trapped in Auric.
Except it doesn’t though. The fact I have to sit and wait for other people to join my party and then worry about one of those people being a manchild that will leave or flip out at the first sign of stuff not going perfect - no thanks.
The entire idea why the majority of people hate havoc except for the absolutely desperate (people that can’t even get enjoyement out of Auric Maelstroms) is because you have to jump through unwanted hoops just to play and then after you jump through those hoops you are punished, laughed at, and made to do it again all in the name of what - a harder game mode? Okay.
Let’s compare that to the completely stress free environment of opening up a screen and selecting a mission I want to play and then pairing up with other people that also desire a stress free but fun and intense environment. Wow, what a thought!
Just remember the first two words of his comment which are implied in every comment nobody’s opinion will apply to everyone else but the poll tells us which opinion is more common at least
can we have a proper mission select
i disagree, it has too much custom balance and explicitly stops caring about immersion and visual style. it’s an arcadey sidegame mode with glowing rgb christmas tree enemies like an MMO, and some of the balance changes are deeply unfun to me conceptually, like getting rid of toughness grace periods which exist in the original design for a reason
i do have fun on havoc, it’s not that bad of a sidegame mode, but this is like saying vt2 didn’t need cataclysm because it got weaves which is harder than legend
I’ve said for ages they should add 4 nodes to the main mission board. These nodes would be normal quickplay maps, cycling out every half hour or so with a new random mission, with matchmaking identical to auric, but instead of auric difficulty, they’d be Havoc 10/20/30/40. These would have no mutators outside of Emperor’s Fading Light of the relevant tier and no connection to the havoc ranking system or weekly reward box. It would literally just be a place to go to quickplay a havoc game with matchmaking for no reason other than because you want to play it.
This would solve so many issues with both the havoc system and the core game itself, and would be very easy to implement. I really hope they do it one of these days.
No. Diff 1 and 2 should be removed instead, but at the very least 1.
No. Most of the player base plays Heresy and Damnation. Havoc has extremely small player interaction so there is virtually no demand for a general difficulty above auric.
you could make auric x5 harder and it still wildy depends on your teamates.
regular auric can already be a lot harder if you have terrible teamates. im not amazing myself but man sometimes im spectating people and they cant even handle 2 non elite gunners. their build is so bad the toughness is broken and they cant do anything against 2 regular non elite gunners with rifles.
sometimes they just stand still and heavy attack 1 enemy at a time
basically the type of people who queue into auric knowing damn well theyre there to get carried. some people are there for the whole mission and end up with like 100k damage.
basically auric maelstrom but with freely chose-able modifiers and no limit to stacking them.
what havoc should have been in the first place :
any map at any time with any modifier of ones choice.
there, i said the bad word, choice…choice…choice
somewhere in sweden candyman comes out a mirror
