Feels like the basic scabs now just burst fire you to zero toughness too easily.
I may just be having a grey patch, but now I’ve played through this a few times, I can’t help but wonder if the new “elite” mode stats have been applied to regular mobs.
Guess “we” asked for harder levels - just didn’t expect it in this form!
All too often, it feels like Scab Stalkers actively kite my Ogryn by skillfully remaining just barely outside my desperately striking melee range while calmly walking backward at a just-brisk-enough pace as they dump load after load of white hot laser in my face.
I’m digging it, I love the difficulty increase. tier 5 difficult should be like cataclysm. I don’t think you should get awarded extra mats for T5 over T4 though…
yeah I noticed it today, they are back to really annoying behavior - they stay in ranged and just back up shooting you when you’re 2 feet from them and some shooters aren’t really responding to supression idk but it’s terrible.
This is purely anecdotal from my games this week.
Worse on an Ogryn? Ranged shooters, even one or two just instantly delete toughness?
I haven’t tested objectively. But it reminds me of several months ago when I parked up my ogryn for a while as I had to keep ducking in to cover.
Not that it’s necessarily wrong as there was a period that I felt invincible at t5, but I feel a lot more susceptible to “mob” shooters and scab gunners are painful.
Pretty sure they reverted to an older build now, prior to the patch that nerfed shooters.
In a world where we aren’t rejects it would be hotfixed in 2 days, but I guess we have to wait for another couple of months at best.
No its just not a bug that benefits players like toughness regen, an embarrassingly bad quality control like the AMD + Win 10 CTDs on start up or a funny cosmetics non issue like shirtless, so its no priority to fix.
I’ve been begging for the Lucius 2 to get its buffs from the signal update for months, along with the stamina block you still don’t get from stamina curios if the blessing value is more than 1. Or ogryn headshots, since they just fixed it on one attack on another weapon instead of going back and fixing it not actually prioritizing over a bodyshot on 3/4 of ogryn melee attacks. Or my attack speed buff from Ogryn’s dash with the shovel’s heavy attack 1 (the only good move on this besides the punch). I’m sure they’ll all get fixed, some day…
It has become less about melee hordes and definitely feels more about ranged hordes now. Melee hordes up close are hardly lethal compared to 7-8 shooters lined up in a firing line at a distance.
Ogryn - with such larger hitbox, the only cover is a full wall, any other object won’t help. Ogryn’s unstoppable can close the distance, but the shooters suppression is tweaked too high in terms of pushing back a huge Ogryn
