I can’t put my finger on it, did they change anything about the shooters or am I dreaming ?
It might be the delay between bursts, or the damage, but I’m getting absolutely shredded now, especially on ogryn.
I might be wrong tho, so I would like to know from players with a good amount of playtime.
Not just elites. It says elite in the name but the description also says all forces sent against us are more elite. Different units have gotten different buffs. The specials all got it; poxbursters and snipers will one-shot in base-line cases (maybe except against ogryns, I haven’t seen it happen yet) and a lot of the breakpoints changed. Things that only took one brain burst now take two. Monsters have much larger health pools, I would assume they have a damage buff too. I noticed that poxwalkers now take one extra hit to kill, 3 instead of 2, with a specific loadout I had most breakpoints memorized on. But groaners are still one hit and dreg and scab shooters are the same number of hits, but they do feel a bit punchier, so maybe they got a damage boost but NOT a health boost?
Also a lot of the stagger resists are completely reworked. Even power mauls and crusher special attacks don’t seem to stagger crushers anymore. It almost necessitates a surge psyker to handle them. Ragers are also pretty noticeably tankier to say nothing of killier.
We really need a spreadsheet but I don’t think FS will be forthcoming with that. Has anyone pulled it from the code yet?
Yeah, I played one round of this mod at heresy last night (incidentally, why tf isn’t this mod locked into rotation like you’ve done with all the other maps/mods at launch?). Elite-mob heresy feels EXACTLY like low-int damnation.
This new Elite Resistance Condition is probably a test run for the next Difficulty. I honestly can’t get through 1/4 of a mission without completely wiping.
Specials also get a health buff and I think shooters as well?
Also I feel like hitstun from getting hit lasts longer than what I remember, it’s like shotgunner does so much hitstun I feel like I get put in a frame-trap if not already getting combo’d by other enemies.
Btw, do you know why some specials don’t get the health buff? I imagine it has something to do with roaming/timed specials Vs scripted specials from events.
I’ve noticed far more ‘firing line’ behavior from shooters. Where a dozen shooters will pile out of a door, line up, and unleash a coordinated volley (no matter your range from them) instantly downing you from full health/toughness.
I always worry that Fatshark is going to revert changes made unintended or just break something with each major patch, it is a feeling unique to Fatshark.
It’s not the first time they reverted buffs/nerfs to an older version of the game.
Hard to imagine how a company can put together a game like this in the first place with this level of amateurism. I’ve never seen that before.
Yeah they’ve done something to shooters. It’s very obvious. Once again they demonstrate the combination of absurd incompetence, zero QA testing and absolutely no version control whatsoever.
Hey, I couldn’t find health values but Grimalackt has the new damage values updated on his table. Not everything was touched and there are plenty of exceptions but it feels like most melee is doubled and most ranged got +50%. In Damnation at least. The good news is that snipers and poxbursters aren’t quite as bad as I thought but they’re still not good.
But it looks like the shooter multipliers are unchanged from their nerfed state if that’s what you mean. Of course, with the underlying increase it will still hurt pretty bad and shotgunners can still delete your toughness even at considerable range.
Before the Scab Shooters were sort of “forced into melee” with their silly bayonet up to 8 meter or so?
Now they are back to shooting you even point blank and they do so more aggressively, very clearly not being intimidated by you rushing their position.
So I agree, there was a change to them. Maybe behavior reverted to pre-nerf.
That’s of course not to mention that on Elite Resistance, they shred your Toughness with a single burst, but that’s by design. The new shooter behavior is not, I think.
If I remember correctly, they dropped wrong build on V2 release, core game mechanic - power system wasn’t working, and they fixed it only in month or three after release. So…
