Shader Cache

Issue Type (Required):

Launcher

Issue Description (Required):

Why do I have to manually delete the shaders after ever single patch/driver update, regardless if that should even affect the shaders in the first place, or my FPS is at like 20.
Do that automatically!

Reproduction Rate (Required):

Constant (100%)

Platform (Required):

PC - Steam

can you post a log from a game session without deleting the “shaders”? %appdata%/darktide/console_logs I think

can you specify what you are deleting?

Sorry kinda got distracted from the game. I delete these 3 files (not sure what’s what so I just delete everything that’s not my settings) and that fixes it:
Untitled

Interestingly, with the recent twins event patch I didnt have that issue, maybe you didnt do any changes to the graphics in that one but the last couple you did? But it also would happen after a driver update only so idk. Maybe this time it did rebuild them on it’s own idk.

Edit: @Axloss

Edit2: Speaking of AMD, this is still a thing. I had already emailed y’all about this months ago twice. Step on AMDs toes or something. It makes the game crash if I don’t set the game to “dont do anything” aka default.
