I have been getting the same error. I have tried 5 different Nvidia drivers from the latest to past 5, all with the same result. Crash after shader cache. With the previous update, it would at least load showing the spinning icon for a few seconds and crash, but now it just crashes on load.

I also tried reinstalling etc with no luck. Unfortunately, it’s not client specific as i’m using the Windows version. It’s odd as the first week of release I didn’t get this error, then out of nowhere it started happening. This newer 1.2.2 didn’t fix it either.

At this point i’m forced to install it on my series X, but i’d much rather play on PC.

The error being produced is DXGI_ERROR_DRIVER_INTERNAL_ERROR. Please see:

Thanks for responding to us, but unfortunately we’ve already clean installed drivers multiple times. I’ve went as far as to go back five drivers one by one, doing clean installs on all of them. It’s possibly an OS related (Win 11 home) recent update interfering, as my install worked fine for the first week.

  • I’ve also tried many different visual settings, resolutions, changing worker threads etc – all same result. I’ve even tried different displays. All of my other games work fine.

Lenovo legion 7i (2021) - i7 11700h - 3080 (16gb)

I had tried multiple times to do different drivers, but I don’t think I ever tried clean installation. However after doing so it still crashed. I followed the instructions to the letter. I promise.

Yeah, it’s definitely not our video drivers. Many people are having this error on different clients (Windows store/steam) with vastly different hardware configs. It’s something with the game code. Why would my install work fine for over a week, then suddenly get this error? Outside of non-related windows updates, nothing was changed. Who knows
