Shade 1.0.8

It’s actuality working more like a crit / crit headshot meaning it’s a base dmg multiplier that is different for every weapon and every attack.

Edit: It also benefits from crit power.

I’ve run some more numbers with dual swords and infiltrate and posted everything to the bug forum. I actually don’t know what to make of the results anymore. It doesn’t help that I don’t have the pre-patch numbers to compare. All I know is, Infiltrate is significantly worse in 1.08 compared to 1.071.

Here you go.

Did ye read my comment on the other post? I need to redo some of that spreadsheet, and now I need to redo the entire thing anyways with shade needs. I might not even bother redoing it until shade gets buffed again, I can’t see her sitting this low for too long.

Did you read the post I was responding to? The dude asked about values pre 1.0.8.

Lol. One month ago I was sure that green dust is going to get fixed in a week max.

Even before 1.0.8 some of the values are messed up, I kind of abandoned it a while ago. I told you that in the other post that some of the values are incorrect. And for the updating it, I don’t want to have to go back and redo testing all over again just to have to do it again if they change it.

I checked your values in 1.0.7. They were more or less accurate. 10% deviation max.

Do as you wish.

10% is a big enough difference for me. I don’t want people to be calculating with the wrong numbers. I’ll redo the table at some point, just not now.

Guys you shouldnt mention Huntmans at all. He was bugged like hell in beta and could kill boss in 3s. Anyway i did few runs yesterday and he still kill bosses in 3s so guess it wasnt a major issue and they ll fix it later (huahuahauahuahuaaaahahahahaaaaaaa).
If you want to compare shade to any class, then compare it to WHC.
Every class should be compared to WHC and nerfed hard to get on his lvl.

Fortunately, those of us who know how to play the Shade are doing just fine, thx.

The QQs were fun to read, though. Keep it coming.

Unfortunately, now Shade has 2 very situational passives and nearly useless ult (in terms of damage). Is it still playable? Yes, but it’s like the question “Can you play videogames with broken hand?”, and I can also say that you can. But why should I play with a broken hand if I can avoid it?

When I first started the game, I was playing characters that had no talents and my weapons had no traits and I was doing, well, just fine. And I can do with Shade just fine. All I need to do is take Glaive, because fun, hence other weapons, is not allowed. And everything is gonna be great.

I don’t think it should apply to ranged attacks, just from a realism standpoint. Not much of a difference between shooting someone in the face or the back of the head.

Armor in the back is always thinner. I think this includes skull and ribs.

Then a modified version of it I guess. Shouldn’t be the full backstab value. Big difference between being up close and personal and driving a blade into the weakpoints and shooting the plate.

Shade is completely dead. Infiltrate is basically useless now.

Thanks Fatshark. =)

I hope so, but while they say the shade will be back to 1.07, they also specifically talk about daggers and glaive, no mention of her other weapons, so…

Whatever they are doing it’s rushed, and rushed work is usually not the best work, I’d suspect this is not as simple as tweaking some numbers, or rolling old code back in, they’ll want to tweak the new code to work more like the old. I’m also not convinced they know all the location of code changes that might be causing the current behaviour…

I really want to be wrong on this…

Here’s hoping! I still have a lot of faith in fatshark as far as long-term results go… but the short term ride is gonna be bumpy.
