Issue Description (Required):
FPS drops
After the patch both systems started experiencing frame drops, albeit obviously with varying severity.
Example Hab Dreyko at the auspex scanning (the skull event), the 12700 struggles to hold 60fps and fails at it, with FPS droping down 58 frames. The 10700 drops to 53 frames in the same spot.
In both instances the frame drop impact is way more severe than the number suggest, essentially a kind of slideshow, with the 10700 being obviously affected more. Nonetheless in both instances the actual performance seems to be disconnected from the FPS displayed, because even the 58 frames on the 12700 actually feel like below 30!
This specific issue is experienced by a premade members as well!
And there are many instances like that where the performance is suddenly degraded, even on maps that used to be quite smooth performance wise, like Relay station.
Yesterday in Havoc run on Relay station, we climbed the stairs entered the mid game airlock, all good 120 fps and when the doors open with horde pushing in the frames drop to 58, with two of the premade members going āomg i have 8fps, omg i have 12fpsā and suddenly we had two bots as the two players crashed!
Another thing is the inexplicable nonsensicality of it. Here i am fighting a massive horde with 2 bosses in it and game helds at 115 fps steady, but when i turn around to fight of the 2 poxwalkers that got around it drops to 59-61 frames. And this FPS uncertainty when fighting a horde keeps reappearing after the patch, from this angle i got 120 fps, little bit dodge little bit movement and iām down to 63 frames and then back to 120. Resulting in nearly 60 fps difference during one horde encounter!
And i could go on and on and on!
Needless to say that the issue is even more severe on the 10700!
My FPS low in this patch:
10700 = 33 fps (oh yeah)
12700 = 48 fps
Ofc not counting the lolonoobery that was done to Plasma with the hotfix, in which case the lowest fps i got this patch was 7 ![]()
V-sync seems to be no longer really working
Noticed that on the 10700 where i actually play with V-sync, but the issue appears on the 12700 as well when V-sync is turned on.
Before the patch the 10700 running o V-sync used to be buttery smooth with a good responsiveness and all that. After the patch the V-sync is nearly unusable, with uneven mouse inputs, uneven movement, weird mouse acceleration, general feel of floatiness and giving up a vibe that massive amount of hardware latency was suddenly added
Best way to describe it is like turning on AMD FSR framegen on a PC that doesnāt have enough performance headroom for it. Except both systems display this V-sync behavior in a places where both systems can generate 120-144fps
Both systems experience this and no amount of tinkering with FPS caps and Nvidia reflex and so on can make a difference, framegen obviously turned off etc!
Also
Two more things that appeared with the patch, game hangs for 20 second on quiting and when i die and its my time to appear on rescue spot the game freezes for a second before it spawns me. Both systems suffer on it!
Attempted Solutions (Optional):
and this
Reinstalled the game on both systems, reinstalled GPU drivers on both system (why i donāt know), tried any tweak i could come up with (fullscreen optimization etc), turned off X.M.P profile on the 10700 which made it worse, tried a different ISPā¦
All mods are turned off, both games run on a fresh install
