Doesn’t FS/DT use Amazon Servers like almost any other MP Game? Server don’t seem to be the issue…more like something with the Code or whatever itself that messes with it. Have zero problems with other MP Games who use the same Amazon Servers but DT constantly has issues.
I’ve no idea but would be good to find out if that’s the case.

Time to storm Jeff Bezos’ House and demand fixes for whatever is causing the AWS servers to crap bricks and disconnect.
The servers may be AWS but the server implementation would be Fatshark’s.
The desyncs are crazy lately too. Bruisers scate across half of the room and manage to land hits. Dead enemies still block your movement for a short period. I’ve also noticed that somehow melee combo stopped working all together mid match. I was playing Ogryn and used pickaxe special/push + heavy attack combo fine, then it just stopped working. Not sure if this is related to server issues, but I won’t be surpised tbh.
Time to pay for more resources… oh wait that costs money.

same with pushing bursters, sometimes you stand there d1ck in hand hitting push like a madman but all your char does is holding your weapon in block position.
1 sec before and after it’s working again so stamina wasn’t the issue here

The servers are, I imagine, all pretty well standardized (being on AWS). But the FS code running on them can still have issues. They might not affect everyone (but sometimes they do), and of course there are a lot of variables (packet loss, ping, hardware, etc.).
I sometimes seem to receive a singular hit, either ranged or melee, that fully depletes my stamina in one single hit…and have always assumed it was something like a ‘critical hit’ from an enemy (is that a thing in DT?) but perhaps its the gammy server/code instead? Hidden modifier!
Depends which servers you are on and at what time I guess. North American servers , European servers etc. Peak times or not etc etc
Its definitely something with the Code of the Game itself and not the Servers. The exact same Server(s) FS uses for DT work perfectly fine in any other MP Game in 99.99% of cases meanwhile in DT theres constantly issues with it. Maybe they outsourced the whole Server implementation / Code for it as well like they did with the VC/Chat being run by some third-party middle-man which is why even something as frigging basic as that is having issues….
Why are almost 200 Employees then not capable of fixing it since years
As the codebase keeps growing, issues are likely to keep popping up, and they’re always working on this stuff. It’s in their interest to do so.
I think their backend team is/was ~10 people.
Oh yeah… Speaking of pushes, I’ve had a match where Ogryn’s skill No Pushover stopped working mid match too. I wasn’t able to knock down enemy Ogryns with Pushes all of a sudden.
funny you mention, only yesterday buddy pirx and me had this topic being grumpy over yet another day of server fkups.
200 in number includes everyone and the janitor so if 20 dudes actually code I’d be suprised.
if you keep in mind some of the original guys that made the code spaghetti are no longer with the company it begins to make sense in what state the game currently is.
quite the shame come to think of it, consuming 40k in fps form is literal gold whereas seemingly having to work on it (maybe due to the engine i dunno) looks like the bubonic plague
Sometimes I feel this game is very CPU bound to the point the mouse latency might arise from taking away too many CPU cycles from windows background processes on handling inputs.

Decimal default value is 2. Can someone give 40 a go, no reboot required. This puts complete priority to background services including handle mouse input, so better to test with least background processes initially, temporarily terminate mouse/keyboard software processes i.e. steelseries/razer/these still run services even when closed, close web browser, close MSI afterburner etc.
Now play a few missions. How does mouse feel?
I’m curious if placebo or does anything to mouse responsiveness.
