Second keybind option

So the ability to have a 2nd button for at least some keybinds would be very useful.

example and current issue:
class: psyker

I am doing mind blasts, I have to hold R to quell peril, while also holding the C key to crouch, while also using wasd to move, and potentially also using the space bar to dodge. also, attempting to aim and move while crouched and doing mind blasts.
result: can’t aim/hide/quell peril/crouch/dodge simultaneously smoothly

The only way for all these commands to work together is the ability to have my crouch/quell on a mouse thumb button, but in certain and frequent situations i might want to have my quell/crouch on the standard buttons. I use C for most of my crouching already, but when doing mind blasts/quelling/crouching, it is too many buttons for one hand to manage movement.

another thing i am thinking, is what if there was the ability to quell all peril and free up a button press, and you could always cancel a full quell by swapping to weapon or by pressing the brain burst weapon key.

it might even be useful to have a dual keybind thing for crouch. like you can keybind toggle crouch AND regular/hold to crouch. then you have a 2nd keybind where you can just toggle a crouch instead of hold to crouch.
also, shift+keybind for crouch could be useful. like you have c hold to crouch, and shift+c does the other command you have set for standard crouch mode, in this example it would be toggle crouch. maybe potentially just let us do whatever keybind combo?? like what if someone wants to do ctrl+c or they wanna do a mouse button+c. could be very useful.

I totally feel you. Also, you can forget about it. VT2 got it only from mods.

This functionality was actually recently added in to VT2 as part of the QoL patch or shortly after that

All four lines of code copied from a modders work, let’s just add.

I’m just saying it was added to the game so there is an increased possibility we can see it for Darktide

Yeah I had to rebind crouch/slide to my mouse because of how integral they are. Unfortunately I’m without a comfortable solution for weapon special, so I’m in the market for a new mouse capable of playing all the vital functions of this game quickly. I wouldn’t even mind if slide was given its own keybind at some point.
