Everyone who bought Darktide on Gamepass (PC and Xbox) during the Xbox release got over 14000 aquilas for free due to both a (n assumed) Microsoft deal and also shenanigans with the Gamepass store where you got 9000 for buying the base edition and then the upgrade to deluxe gave another 5000 on top of the deluxe edition aquilas.
Nothing really came out of it, the early adopter compensation lost any meaning of being compensation because it was effectively worthless (recoloured exisiting cosmetics) and available to everyone, but it just shows how out-of-touch Fatshark is with their community.
