The standard is that we don’t get them.
While I haven’t played from start, I’ve only ever seen 1 event with Aquilas.
And? It’s not a court of law where precedent is king. And even in court precendent can be changed.

I was skipping these beforehand, and I’ll continue skipping them now. Skulls was the only one where I actually bothered to focus on it.
I do the events cause i in general love left for dead in space.(with loadouts) // you get more people trying to do there 10 to 18 and not touch the game again till there is something fun/earnable
500 was an ass reward anyway. What am I supposed to buy 2 chicken bones and a finger to hang on my gun? Or the SPECIAL PREMIUM LIMITED TIME ONLY things discounted down to that price to remove even more choice than the store already doesn’t provide. At least a time limited frame has some element of exclusivity and is free.

It is ass, and it is almost entirely a foot-in-the-door tactic, but even then they are doing it badly because it’s meant to be a drip feed, not a one-and-done.
I’m all for there being more reason to join in on the event. Just saying there usually isn’t any Aquilas.
What I whould do is to make a structure for players to show off multiple event participation.
Like: Oh, I see that when I inspect your character you have the “battle for random crap”-medal and the “i did this too”-thingy. So I can be like yeah. Well I have the “I have absolutetly no life ever”-throphy HA! beat that filthy casual 
You know, the normal gloat thing that is everywhere else. Blue penence armor, black havoc armor, thing next to your name, title…
But TOGETHER.
A frame that is to be replaced 2 secondons later? Nha. It can be a placeholder for my “medals”.
Then yes, of course I’d like cosmetics like a skin for some gun or a face-scar from the burns of the fiery event. Something other than material and ducats which people who’ve played for a bit have no more use for. Especially with the recolor-shop not getting an update in…ever?
To sum it up: I’m just saying that while I’d love some more substatial rewards, it is not the standard.

Every single player playing this game would far more enjoy a tiny bit of Aquilas over yet another damn portrait.

Ok, maybe the burgle one too.
I feel like the other highly talked about ones (M21st, Ogryn) were more because they brought a much needed change (of any kind) to the gameplay and the Ogryn was shortly after the bestiary penances, so it was a huge boon (for reapers especially).
Inferno was…mid? Just ok, imo.
Skulls was so fun and gave me such (unfounded) hope that we could get a Havoc-lite auric modifier. I only have myself to blame for going down that path to disappointment.

Of course they would, it gets them something they are cut off from via a irl money-barrier.
This also means that on the other hand, for Fatshark/Games Workshop/which ever company it is, it is potentially handing out free money and a possible cut in revenue.
Then you can argue that the “foot in the door” or “good will” will mean player retention and prolonged exposure meaning more chances for later purchases and general game health/player numbers.
For a company it’s always a balancing act, keep feeding players but always remembering that it is from their bowl.
What are the resources? What are the demands? Who are making them aso…

they are 10cent now. we will almost certainly never get free paid currency.
Aquilas as the main event reward were an incentive for players to come back to the game. Have you seen how many players bought the Arbites class? Best case, we arent seeing Aquilas for a LONG TIME. Worst and most likely case knowing FS, we arent seeing Aquilas ever again

Just play the game for the fun of it, as it should be. Or don’t if you haven’t (enough) fun without monetary incentives, as it also should be. 
All these outcries for Aquilas now may tell FS one thing: Never give the players an inch, they will demand a mile.
The event itself is fun (Inferno was better imho, but that’s besides the point) but the Aquilae would be a great incentive to dedicate my free time to this game. I don’t even want 500 again, if the devs think it’s too much. Just give me 250 for each event and keep rotating events or integrating the interesting bits as special conditions for missions.
We “bullied” Fatshark into re-allowing human cosmetics for Arbites, why not coordinate to demand they give us at least some aquilae as rewards?

Never intervals of less than 100 because nothing is ever priced that way. 50 Aquillas that couldn’t be spent would burn my brain forever worse than the person with a mental illness around ammo in a mag matching ammo total I won’t even mention. I would probably have to uninstall.
