As the title states. Wouldn’t it be something if we had seasonal events?

Was playing Destiny 2 and DRG and the hub areas are decorated neatly for Halloween. The game is great and all, but its seriously needs some form of events that keeps the community going.

  1. Add a seasonal vendor with tasks that upon completion rewards a cosmetic. (Like armor sets or weapon skins)
  2. Decorate the hub area according to the season.
  3. Have each season last 2-3 weeks
  4. Add different kind of seasonal cosmetics to Commodore’s Vestures.

Each year make new seasonal cosmetics for free and in the premium shop or even add new seasonal maps at the Psykhanium. Like a simulation map with a thematic feel.

This idea is nothing new or original. It’s just something that I think would be greatly appreciated by all players.

I don’t know if it breaks lore, but honestly… do you care? I want my God-Emperor gun keychain to have a Santa hat.

Feel free to add to it as much as you’d like.

Couldn’t agree more. I’m pretty sure there are holidays in the lore that are analogous to the major ones in real life. One way or another they need to do something to put some spark in this game.

aye, I’d be interested to see what the in universe seasonal celerbrations would be like.

I don’t need a 1 to 1 recreation. no I’d love to see how we as a sociaty have twisted it into something differant over the years.

Like labour day has become, celerbrate the emperor by working yourselves half to death!

or sanguinala is a somber time of mourning than a jolly gathering.

doesn’t even have to line up in terms of time, made up holidays at odd times of year would also be nice.

Fatshark, I know you got the nerds of power to make something fun with lore thats hardly been explored.

The season events could still be lore friendly, FS has some assets with Vermintide. A start could be a reskin of maps that lean towards each of the 4 chaos god.

1 Chaos reskin a quarter for 3 weeks. I would go as far as turning the entire ship into one of the chaos factions and present darktide as a chaos invasion. Turn everyone into the faction as a nightmare warp event.

VT2 has seasonal events, the biggest one being Geheimnistag and a Quiet Drink (Anniversary).

Now VT2 didn’t get event in it’s 1st year either, so I think we will see events for Darktide too, but I think the important dates would not be Geheimnistag, or another Halloween event, but rather a Christmas event.

Sanguinalla is an important celebration for the Imperium.

That would go a bit further than what an event does, and other Chaos cults should happen during the time of the game

There’s a portrait or two in the game’s files that reference Halloween and one other seasonal event if I recall. I doubt we’ll be seeing these any time soon though.

Glad to see the subject got some traction and that this list is of common interest to the playerbase.
I’ll just hope something comes out of it in the upcoming months.

Seasonal stuff would be nice with some 40k touches to it.

I’m not sure if we are going to see it this year as they are still getting stuff fleshed out but having a few cosmetics, maybe some events for some premium currency and unique weapon skins would be cool.

Maybe also have some community wide events like the Sanguinalla seasonal sacrifice to kill a million or so heretics or something where if we do it everyone gets a thing. Maybe also import Nurglings from vermintide 2 for an event. Have some special seasonal skinned enemies to represent different chaos groups taking a bite out of Atoma such as Khorne, Tzeentch, or Slaanesh worshippers.

I think seasonal events are always great for games in general.

New factions would be better to be added as normal enemies(New factions like the Scab or Dreg) instead of being kept for seasonal stuff

That’s fair, im mostly saying a few seasonal skinned enemies that are accompanied but larger numbers of that specific faction.

Honestly even just having something like in mission side stuff to get extra stuff would be neat.

But in all seriousness, FS can’t even release a roadmap or actual content on a consistent schedule. It would be nice, but I doubt FS can handle it ATM.
