Season 2 & Patch 2.1.0.1 is live!

Having played it both at launch and more recently… yeah, it’s in a decent spot right now (other than the Hero spam being obnoxious as hell). Just took them a few years to get there.

You do realize she trivialized everything, right? Not just weaves. Her nerfs were well deserved and way overdue.

Cataclysm and Cataclysm 2 are okay damage-wise. Only with Cataclysm 3 it becomes frustrating. And like said, this has been reduced, leading to a larger middle block. Other than that, every difficulty is artificial. Other than that you are free to provide awesome ideas how to create difficulty without damage scaling in this thread:

But the fun thing is, people tell all the time what is not good and how they would do it better. However, if you ask this community a question you are often faced with a deafening silence.

FS doesn’t demand anything from you. If you don’t have the time or don’t like playing the Weaves, then just don’t blame them. You are not losing anything with the exception of some primitive frames. Weaves have always been about challenge for those seeking it. Also, if you reduced your matchmaking to one premade group then yes you will have a problem. However, if you are looking for public games too (currently unavailable, will be fixed) you can close gaps in your progress without your group having to replay. Having played a higher Weave is helpful in that as it lets you access all missing numbers inbetween.

I hope you right. I hope that weaves’ damage has been reduced enough, in order to not make last levels too unfair.
But I repeat: imho we reach the best balance with “standard” Cataclysm, where I don’t think the difficulty is artificial.
I see every “higher damage” as a lazy solution to say “look, this mode is for hardcore”.
Also because the game has still problems like silent backstab, bugged spawns, etc etc

I can offer my hours and my experience to write some constructive criticism. To explain what imho doesn’t work and why… Because I tested it. We are all testing it.
I can also write a good idea if I get some of them… But then there are people paid for this. It’s their job. They have the right resources and tools.

But I’m forced to buy them if I want WoM ^^
To explain what doesn’t work it’s the least I can do.

has there been any update on the second drachenfels map. an eta atleast. a timeline perhaps?

We have a post going out on Friday - the first in an series of updates from us that were looking to get out weekly. We’ll talk a bit about the week, touch on some game designer thoughts on some topics being discussed etc.

It’s a new approach for us so do let us know what you think about these updates we’ll be giving. We’ll need to find out feet a bit with them and find the best way to get them together without taking too much time from the devs’ day to day.

I’ll try to get some information I can share for you on what’s next for Drachenfels for that. :slight_smile: Maybe I can convince someone to share a screenshot or two.

Don’t worry, we will. I would be surprised if this communities lets anything you do uncommented. Personally, I think the release of the next Drachenfels map and more cosmetics will be of prior community interest. Maybe a word or two if there are new information concerning the Versus mode as this one is currently “discussed” intensely in the Steam forum. Also, if and when a fix for ranked Weaves is coming to play them public.

Of personal interest for me would be if there are any plans to return to earlier DLC’s - namely Shadows over Bögenhafen and also Ubersreik - (you answered this in the past that the interest is there; what interests me is if there is a concrete plan IF you had the time) and also if there is an interest in community events from the side of FS. But these are of less importance for the community I would assume. Oh, and since I spammed it like a thousand times, also if there is interest to work on the “presentation” of the Weaves. The construct around the individual levels (which I like pretty much).

You’re not wrong. The process is much harder since we shipped launcher 3.0 (as pictured) and updating it is quite a tedious process compared to previously (with added benefits like localisation).

I’ll get around to it… probably not today though.

Oh, that sounds quite tedious. Of all of us here in the forums you know the best if it is worth to do it until the next update with map 2, i’ll just call it darkest dungeon, i expect it to be as haunting (see what i did there) as that game, whenever that comes around.
We’re still getting that development blog update tomorrow, right? Just checking in. :stuck_out_tongue:

Hi all. How the Orki’s challenge “collect all the Shadows over Bogenhafen skins” works now?

It doesn’t right now, but will be fixed soon and will count any you bought and haven’t been counted for yet automatically.

Why is this helmet not present in Lohner’s Shop?

Well both first items are in the keep so you obviously don’t need to buy them to Lohner. You already own them.
The last one is even in your hand ! Do you want Lohner to actually steal your items to sell them back to you ? Nonsense !

The helmet seems pretty bad. A blow straight on the top of that helmet will transfer the blow directly onto your neck/spine. Helmets should be more round so blows can glance off.

100% sure that’s the reason for the helmet not being on sale.
Wearing that thing would make Bardin careless, he is easy to hit on the top of the head after all :rofl:
