apparently the shop got expanded a little so that’s nice, but its still the worst part of darktide
*after havoc demotion system
The overhaul is better but they should have more weapon skins. The only cosmetic most players see without mods and there’s always such slim pickings. Even with glorious unused ones like Magrave’s Touch for the las pistol (this has been in the game for almost 2 years and still hasn’t shown up in the store).
derank is terrible but i think commodores affects more people
almost. lmao. you’re a funny lil guy arent you
So it’s almost not a fomo store lol. Almost.
you obviously just have to determine ahead of time which cosmetics are gonna come back and which ones arent and then you wont have to worry about missing out
its fomo even if it does eventually come back
Community Comm Link Week 21
CosmeticsAs part of ‘Rejects Unite’ we have added a new in-game store, which will be known as the Commissary. Here you will be able to purchase earnable cosmetics with Ordo Dockets. The Commissary is based on the left hand side of the Mourningstar, where the Armoury Exchange was previously located. Alongside this the prices for the earnable cosmetics currently in game will change - there will be some increases and some decreases.
Alongside this, Commodore’s Vestures will release new items for sale shortly (potentially a few days after release) after the update. As before, these cosmetics will be on a rotational system and Commodore’s Vestures will slowly shift to its intended cadence of being updated every two weeks on a Friday with 3 pages of items available for each class. The store will temporarily have 4 pages available for each class, until we rotate out the oldest set of items. As items do rotate out of the store, they will come back with new rotations over time as the store updates.
Here’s a couple of our favourites, with plenty more cosmetic options available for all classes!
Don’t bother with these salty peanuts. They mad cuz they was busy making picket signs outside the shop instead of buying this super EXCLUSIVE swagu we drippin in
I think you’re mistaken. I easily saw the Sergeant Chain Flyby Zorin skin more than 3 times in rotations last year, and the part you mentioned had re-runs in 2023. What it didn’t have was recolors.
The thing is, they are crying over senseless stuff, the store will give you the cosmetic you want sooner or later, lol. They could be crying about the price increase the store had, or the fact that they are including fewer items in the skin bundles for more Aquilas. For example, the first skins used to come with weapon skins for 2100 or 2500 Aquilas, and now they sell them to you for 2900 and they only have 3 parts, or the fact that some skins are ugly and others are just simple recolors.
But instead, they go and cry because they don’t even know what FOMO is and they have no self-control whatsoever.
I think you’ll find people have too much self control for this system. Many people are waiting for a return of a cosmetic because they didn’t impulse buy on the first time. Because, y’know, self control.
I saw a psycher outfit I liked about 2 years ago and it never returned. I haven’t bought any other ones since, because that’s the one I want. How does this fit your lame “self control" narrative exactly?
You 3 apologists are fighting a very strange fight.
It’s not a rotation if they never rotate back.
In this thread, nah. Just the same terrible business practice that clearly irks all but 3 people.
Wow bro you’re such a cool corporate cuck I just cannot believe how cool your corporate cuckery is
True coolness is sucking up to crappy corporate money grubbing tactics and bragging about how much you engage with them.
Not only that, he flexes that he’s spent a double figure $ amount on a video game, because he thinks that’s probably a lot and people have to save to be able to do that.
Thank you.
That is certainly much better than their prevoius statement.
However the system in place is still clearly trying to pray on people with poor impulse control as there is no rhyme or reason in when any given item will return.
The store knows what is FOMO at all times.
It knows this because it knows what isn’t FOMO.
By subtracting what is FOMO from what isn’t FOMO, or what isn’t FOMO from what is FOMO (whichever is greater), it obtains a difference, or deviation.
The cosmetic rotation subsystem uses deviations to generate cosmetic return commands to drive the store from a situation that is FOMO to a situation that isn’t FOMO, and arriving at a situation where it wasn’t, it now is.
Consequently, the situation where it is FOMO, is now the situation that it isn’t FOMO, and it follows that the situation that it was, is now the situation that it isn’t.
