this is probably the best take ive seen. being a better player does not mean you are chasing green circles. green circles appear when you play well. and to the people who are always dead blaming green circles and the scoreboard; who cares if your dead not playing the game because all you care about is finishing the maps. let the good players carry you and if you fail then keep queuing until you match with someone who will carry you. every single scoreboard hater will need to find one of those people to carry them.
Easy ignore and flag
Just more proof anti-scoreboarders are the REAL toxic ones heh
thanks
Yeah, Iâm just gonna say thank god vermintide is p2p. At least that way I can play it as long as my computer can run it. The way DT is going Iâm not sure itâll be playable in 10 years.
This debate gets rehashed ad nauseum. But tbh itâs so incredibly low priority compared to pretty much everything else.
Nah scoreboard is actually the highest priority for me. If they had a scoreboard i would change my steam review to positive. and the reason it keeps getting brought up is cus its probably high on priority list for a lot of people. I have friends who i know wont play this game without a scoreboard, there is many of us.
VT2 has central authentication servers where the game actively boots you out of the game if it loses connection or the server goes down. Theyâll have to patch in a bypass or remove the server check or something when VT2 reaches EoS or it wonât be playable.
Itâs the 21th century, there is only âŚ
people refuse playing and downvoting because there is no scoreboard ![]()
Game is/was fun, but has some serious issues, no scorboard is none of them.
Perhaps you shouldnât tell people what they like or they donât like.
@ MeatShield01
Good job on admitting what F$ says isnât reliable.
If you engage with reality then you will know that the players generally donât see the kind of âtoxicityâ fatshark cited as the reason for lack of proper scoreboard(and that fatshark supposedly is working on it).
The whole thing was pretty obviously just an excuse for fatshark to avoid having to work on it due to it being of low priority as clearlyâŚeverything else in game was very much undercooked at release as well. And you fell for it; I guess I got a bridge to sell you.
what? where did i say something like that?
are you upset and feel attacked, because i made a fun comment?
You saying that having a scoreboard is not a real issue, as a reply to someone directly saying that not having a scoreboard was a problem for them. Kinda sounds like youâre marginalizing their opinion and telling them what they want to me.
My favourite part of this thread is literally all of the most passive aggressive condescending people, who are belitling peopleâs opinions without any actual arguments are the ones who are complaining that scoreboards cause toxicity. Itâs pretty wild.
I have no skin in the scoreboard argument whatsoever and all I see is both sides doing what the other side accuses them of. In every scoreboard thread that pops up.
hm I think it would be alright to have it but Iâm guessing people where toxic in the vermin tide games and thatâs why some people (including fatshark) donât want to have it in.
Just been reading the back and forth here and wondering why its making people angry
lol
yes in a funny way and like we have other problems than that, really.
there is a difference for me and others can want whatever they like, i dont tell them!!!
But like i wanted things here, others told me their opposing opinion and that they wouldnât want that and i never had the feeling they try to dictate what i have to want or like.
The thing is that i think the same for the other side.
They use even more derogative words like i said, but i have to say that you and maybe 1 or 2 others had valid arguments and didnt use derogative terms.
I see your and others points, but like others i come from a different aproach to gaming.
The real problem is that the feeling of âtoxicityâ and itâs an overstressed term is caused by the performance gaming versus for fun playing aproach.
Casual for fun players dont like the eager and performance orientated aproach of others and there is allways some rating about players.
Maybe some feel attacked where nobody is attacked and are passive agressive, but this is true for both sides.
I quit the game for now because of people rushing and beeing sweaty too much.
I font have fun playing this way. And the only way to prevent it would be premade discord groups what i also dislike because of too much talking in the evening and less variance in team setups.
Youâre free to play lower difficulty modes; or get good enough to play damnation hi-intens because of how often it throws specials at people. (usually takes about 30-40 minutes as opposed to breezing through low difficulty 15-20min)
I personally find malice(including) and below to be braindead boring.
The game isnât designed to be played âleisurelyâ because it has hordes+specials on timers, the longer you take - the more enemies you have to fight off(which is drain of resources which can possibly lose you the mission).
same for me, but in pugs Heresy and Damnation fail quite often due to bad players and the distribution of crafting resources imbalanced.
I play damnation for weeks already if i find teams for it and these teams arent bad.
But most often they are not good enough.
Iâm good enough for Damnation with a good team, but i cannot carry some.
I carried some Heresy games already as a Psyker and also as Zealot what is even more easy.
Iâm not super skilled, but good enough to play damnation.
Sounds like you need to rush ahead of team more.
You gotta dangle carrots in front of them to make them move forward, like deplying a medpack you found while being ahead of team.
Let them know:

but i want to search ressources and not leave them behind, iâm not afraid for another horde, trapper, hound, flamer or whatever coming.
I want to âexploreâ the levels and stay in coherency with the team or at least have pairs that stick together and know what they are doing.
And the me problem is, i dont want to do it in premade groups on a discord, but in pugs.
But the general random players are often dont get it and everyine has another goal or plan. on Malice they can do that, everyones minds his own business and at choke points we fight together and hopefully i dont have to rescue others nonstop or need myslef to be rescued.
And its boring quickly like you said.
My problem is i dont like to need to go on a DC and play premade and with the same team all the time. I in general like random games with random people and new team setups all the time, but the playerbase and also i am not good enough to do/ carry that on Damnation.
