I’ve been playing with Victor for a long time and would like to give some opinions on the new changes.

Warrior Priest

“Divine Excoriation”: I believe it is completely unnecessary to make this talent simply disappear from the game, as in addition to having a very cool visual effect, it was an extremely useful talent in some modes such as: event in which enemies split, chaos weastes (Tzeentch ), weave…
The removal of an interesting and fun talent (even though it’s not that good most of the time) is strange to say the least, I believe that the “divine excoriation” talent could easily be added to the level 10 talent: "Unstoppable Force. That would be great, wouldn’t it it would be “OP”, nor would we lose (players) such an interesting talent.
(Even if this effect activates during “Unyielding Blessing” as it looks like it will, I don’t think it will look good.)

Bounty Hunter

I think the nerf to the “Double-shotted” talent was a bit exaggerated, and I believe that getting the “60%” range back will make the talent a bit meaningless, and much like the “Just Reward” talent, I think that a damage reduction would already be a good size… I don’t think this nerf is necessary for this talent, I believe that the basic problem is with the griffin foot weapon, it is OP in the Bounty Hunter.
The “Return on Investment” talent also works in a very strange way, this one should receive a 60% return interval… In general, the Bounty Hunter talents are not in much sync (except “Blessed Combat”)
I already gave some ideas about changes to Bounty Hunter on the forum, I’ll put them here:
BOUNTY HUNTER

Talents:

level 10

WEIGHT OF FIRE: buff, the magazine size of ranged weapons increases the power level of each available ammo by 1.5%. Spending a full cartridge increases reload speed by 20% for 1 second

GROWING STEEL: Rework, now transforms into DIVINE AIM: when hitting a headshot applies unique effects:
Normal SHOT: 15% more damage
Critical SHOT: 20% more damage
SHOT with blessed shot (passive): 35% more damage, the enemy is marked taking 15% more damage from Victor and bleeding to death. (Visual effect on top of the enemy)

OPEN WOUNDS: Rework, now becomes WATCH WEAPONS: Victor’s weapons are modified to:
pistols: increase the attack speed of long-distance attacks by 20%, increase the magazine of weapons by 3x and increase ammo capacity by 60%, but their shots cause 35% less damage, reload twice as many projectiles at a time.
Crossbows: deal 15% more damage, if the damage is critical it deals 10% more damage.
Other: +10% damage
(to remember Victor’s build from end times)

LEVEL 20

REWARD BONUS: Shots affected by Blessed Shots do not consume ammo and the shot gains, armor piercing, +15% damage, and passes through all enemies

LEVEL 25

Rile the Mob: This talent is now LIGHTENED: Victor’s ranged weapon is lit for 13 seconds when a powerful enemy approaches. Illuminated weapon gains armor piercing and automatically reloads gradually (visual effect, the weapon becomes slightly shiny and bullets come out gold)

Blessed shot now has golden coloring.

You will be most likely still able to chain your ult. You have 60+10% cdr (from your trinket) and your ultimate still staggers monster/lords, which means you can force the monsters to reset their animation and do the same animation again and again with each shot. As soon as you got used to it it should be no problem to headshot them and with a purple potion 70%cdr is more than enough.

But dont get me wrong it is also strange to me why he was nerfed, imo skill shots doesnt need to be nerfed especially on BH, it is his only reason being in this game, ok next to the griffon foot but this weapon really needs a nerf and the repeater pistol would need a buff.

Yes, I understood, but this change was unnecessary and will leave Victor BH completely without personality… it will be Huntsman 2.0

If he had these talents that I mentioned above, he would have more different types of gameplay, but his current talents may be “good”, but they are not cool.

Dont sleep on “Open Wounds” it counts for melee as well as range attacks, so it is increasing your horde clear as well.

This one can be nice as well but only if you have a lot of high density situations like with onslaught mod or some cata + deed runs.

Other than that, i can confirm that the :nauseated_face: marked talents are crap. some of the :expressionless: talents are indeed quite good with certain builds imo.

i think 60% cd is ok, maybe put a +10% if headshot a monstruosity to make a -70% cd +10% from trinket so -80% total.
maybe it’s time to look out to other ultimate upgrade aswell… i mean, why the middle one get all the love when buckshot is like a nerf (when you drop it in chaos wastes you can just leave the game and try later)

i would also like a new passive like the grail knight one as a “Bounty”, like kill a chaos warrior or executioner or gaz rat… and it gives the bounty hunter a reward. Like a saint grenade, or something.

Edit : maybe something like kill a boss (monstruosity or lord) refill all ammo.

for war priest i just hate that he doesn’t get something like sacred ground as ultimate making a aoe for few seconds where everyone in it cannot takes dmg, with higher cd and it’s an aoe so it’s a specific terrain, if you get hook or disabled out of it you no longer have immortality.

This “personality” is contingent entirely on the player picking a single specific Talent while chugging a specific potion. BH’s identity is simply being a gunslinger with a single hand cannon he can whip out.

The double shot nerf was well warranted as it

The real problems I see is them not nerfing Masterwork Pistols and them not making Indiscriminate Blast actually useful.

remove unstopable force and make divine excoriation instead with a little shockwave deal dmg too. this would be a good cc / tank build opportunity instead of rising judgement or sigmar’s executioner.

edit : like you said, it’s ok as a lvl 10 talent and unstopable force isn’t played so…

why does this talent even exist ? maybe to be a little buff when you play chaos wastes.

buckshot is trash and need total rework it doesn’t even work… i have maybe 700h on saltzpire and play mostly war priest and bh… i never guessed how this work… just make a ultimate where you shot a sacred blast that deal less dmg but pierce. so you can destroy a huge amount of enemis before you.

edit : i guess this is what it’s supposed to do… but even when i used it before a small skaven, it does nothing… like a shot from a empty gun.

Look, the longest playing time I have is Victor, and I’ve been playing with him since vermintide end times and currently I must be around 35+ (1600) and I’ve already tested a lot of all possible builds and combinations, and I played equally with all careers , and I say that these talents are horrible, because they are boring and sometimes seem like just an advantage, there’s no point in saying “ah, but it’s for a specific build…” no, that doesn’t exist because you have a talent which only serves for one build and even then the build is not effective… the comparisons I make are cata+ and weave (chaos weastes are not used to measure balance)(and weave happens unique things).
There’s no point in having a talent that isn’t that good, it’s boring, it’s specific…
The truth is this, talking about BH, he deserves a better line of talents like “blessed combat”, giving a critical and increasing damage is not cool, spending all the bullets and getting a buff for 15s is not It’s cool. and just getting a nerf to kill the only interesting thing about the character is the end of the game.

I don’t like this thought that if something is good then it has to be destroyed, I think that, if it is fun and strong without being overpowering, it has to be kept in the game.
When it comes to talents, we have to think about the following, the double shot could just nerf the damage a little and not destroy the talent, so that it becomes mediocre like the other two at level 30.
It would be much better to have a buff on the other two talents at level 30 so that they are useful or have something stronger than double shot, for example, “indiscriminate shooting” even with 20 stocks is NOT a legal talent, it boils down to Being a griffin foot shot, the “fair reward” talent is interesting but would need a small buff, as 20% recharge every 10 seconds is not that interesting. So when I talk about balancing, I don’t ignore the other careers and I think that “Victor’s class has to be superior” or “Bardin’s class has to be the strongest”, I always think about the general balance along with the fun, after all, this is a game with different skills and not a “shoot and hit forward” as many say here, it has to have cool mechanics and not “cause a critical and more damage”, “according to the size of the magazine more damage”, “every 10 seconds do not waste ammo”…
I always talk about balancing knowing that other classes also need nerfs, buffs or reworks.

Not only that, but “Open Wounds” are actually applied to crit that triggers it.
So, every crit is boosted by 20% and leaves this buff for 15 seconds.

It also works like that with grenades as well, because they prok “Blessed Shots”.
You effectively getting longer version of “Shrapnel” off trinket.
