There have been a lot of pleas for increased communication or a return of the Comm-Links but I know that one of the issues with those is that if there isn’t much to say or that is allowed to be said they can be kinda hard to write up and just end up saying nothing anyway. On the other hand though, this near-complete silence has everyone either wound-up (in a bad way) or just plain losing interest.
I figure that a happy medium could be the return of the bi-weekly dev streams that you guys had going back in 2022. They were a nice, informal setting where you could either drop hints and teases if you wanted or just discuss the present state of the game. You can engage directly with the community while playing the game, screen the questions you choose to answer, of course, and, at the end of the day, even if you didn’t give out any more info than complete silence would have, it still feels like we’re being talked to because we are.
I know you guys are busy but hopefully an hour or two every other week to play games and chat wouldn’t be too much added strain. I really enjoyed tuning into them before (what I could stop to listen to before work) to get a feel for how things were going.
There even used to be a thread (either on Reddit or the Steam forums, I forget) for questions for the next stream. You could start that up again too to preselect questions and avoid picking and choosing what can be said on the spot.
Anyways, just a thought. Hope you see this.
