Jeeezes… It’s 2023 and I’m still reading all these posts with that unbearable whataboutism behavior about points of view that cannot be compared… There is a EULA for a reason… I guess (and HOPE) we have 38k years to get it better…

Mate you could´ve reported that privately to a CM instead of opening a barrel and actually interacting with what has been said. That´s how you would safe time for everyone.
But you didn´t, so maybe just deal with the fact that some poeple care less about it. It´s a fking name in a fking videogame. There are games with a sweet cross used by the nazis aswell, yet only germany got the tweaked version with another symbol thanks to the obvious history.
And yeah, you can wear this cross in the USA without any laws restricting it etc…
Just do yourself a favor and close this thread i guess. Go for real reports next time.

There are actual laws that prohibit display of this symbol, excluding games. Was not excluded in Germany. Is not now.
And noone gives a single fu*k about USA. Fatshark is a Swedish company, EU & Swedish laws and EULA you accepted apply.
Holy moly, now I will get gaslighted that its my fault. If FAQ (on the top) would maybe have a link where to report these people, I would not make post here, ON A FORUM THAT CMs READ as is usually common.

Maybe, instead of trying to justify why one could name themselves after a terrorist, you could actually be a helpful member of a community and post those links with an advice in your first reply.

One of the basic rules of the internet is: don’t feed the trolls.
Whatever the players motivation was for using that name, either stupidly trolling or pushing some pro-Nazi point of view or fishing to spark outrage, they’ve likely got far more attention now than if they were simply quietly reported to Fatshark.

Last time I run into some special individual with a very special n-themed name I just reported it to one of Fatshark community representatives here. The game doesn’t have in-game reporting tools beyond what is available on Steam itself. Which wouldn’t make much of a difference anyway. Just look at companies which literally feed your voice and text chats to authorities. It hardly stopped anyone from making a clown of themselves.
